If you have less than 5 cm of movement left and you collide with a blast marker, do you come to a stop? if so does a ship with 5 cm of movement 'stuck' (because you cant remove bms in contact with ships)?

How could you have less than 5cm of movement left (keeping in mind that movement is reduced by 5cm for one or more blast markers - ie movement is never reduced by more than 5cm no matter how many blast markers are involved)?

Perhaps through the 'engines damaged' critical (iirc there is one which reduces movement)... ???

There is an the engine critical that reduces speed by ten cm.  I guess if yoiu get hit with it twice or once if your a battleship.

I've never encountered that though.

I guess technically you would be stuck, but it would make for a real frustrading game at that point.

The speed reductions are there alright.
Thruster critical reduces speed by 10cms
crippling reduces speed by 5cms.
If your an emperor BB you just stopped dead.
any blast marker or more in contact reduces speed by 5cms.
however you do have the option of AAF special order which could give you upto 24cms extra movement so you are never "dead in the water" so to speak.

I would say Yes.
Seeing as the rulebook tells you you reduce speed by -5cms for going through BMs, it doesn't matter if you are at the end of your move, your ship's speed still goes down.
