Hello everyone,

it has been more then a year since version 1.8 went online. Now we can
finally present you version 1.9. A great step to finalize this whole undertaking.

Here is the link:

There have been various small adjustments to the rules, here are the most 'eye-catching'
changes:

* Turn rates on the escort vessels have been reduced
* Dragonship stats changed
* Ghostships finalized
* Dying Race added as an optional rule

have fun! Feedback is appreciated as always.

Excellent.

I have just been having a look at 1.8 recently and going through the finishing touches of gluing my Eldar fleet together.

Hopefully I can stay focused and have them painted and maybe get a game in some time over the coming months.

First: Thanks for mentioning me and my input in the Eldar MMS rules 1.9. (Textmarked my name in my printout :D )
Yesterday was my first game with Eldar vs. a Chaos fleet with MMS 1.9.
The rules worked fine, but:
My opponent made some mistakes deploying his fleet. He split his fleet to outflank the eldar. Bad mistake one.
I got the first move and was able to target two of his cruisers with most of my fleet. Bad mistake two.
With the loss of two of his four cruisers (burning wrecks) before he was able to move the game was finished before it really started.
We´ll give the rules another try in the future. An imperial admiral wants to be next^^

Getting back into BFG after a long, long hiatus, and found that my favourite fleet (fluff-wise) has rules that I think are more balanced and fun, for all concerned. Thanks, blackhorizon, and thanks Sigoroth, if you're still around!

Just a quick question, though - the new fluff blurb for Hellebores says that they use bombers in their attacks, but all I see in their Launch Bay listing are Darkstar Fighters - which is correct? The fluff saying they use bombers as an integral part of their operations, or the rules saying they only get fighters?

I'm assuming, whichever it is, that the alternative is left over from a previous revision?

Also, am I reading this right, and only Craftworld Eldar get boarding torps? I was hoping that the Corsairs would get them as part of their modus operandi - ie, when they raid an Imperium convoys for... whatever Eldar raid human convoys for... they use the boarding torps, grab whatever they're after, and bug out using the Webway portals. I guess game balance issues?

Apart from those two minor quibbles, I very much look forward to testing these out, and these rules are giving me motivation to finally finish that conversion project (if I can find all the parts, after this many years) and repaint my fleet. Thanks!

Hi,
welcome!

Sigoroth has dissapeared some time ago. Dunno where he is these days /years.

On the Hellebores: good catch. In early editions they had bombers as well. Only fighters are correct. Fluff needs fix.

Boarding torps: perhaps Corsairs do not have enough resources.

have fun!!
