Hi Everyone,
I got my BFG mag 16 through the post today. I will give a more detailed rundown of what is in it after I read it, but here is what I saw as I skimmed through it!
-New SM Escorts. Nothing special.
-More EoT Stuff. The editor mentioned that he wrote the editorial about the EoT campaign before it actually began. Rather bizzare.
-Grey Knights in BFG. (Yay!!!) There are rules for the FW Strike Curiser released a month or so back. It also mentions a Grey Knights Battle Barge.....Is this in the FW pipeline?
-Something about a Chaos Fleet, a raiding one for EoT. Basically about how a guy put it together for the campaign. Nothing special
-A new mini-campaign from Nate Montez for EoT. Looks interesting, but I ain't read it yet.
-This is perhaps the best part of the mag in my view....On the inside of the back cover is a pic of 5 (yes 5!!!) Different Tau ships, with a caption of "Coming Next Issue:Tau for BFG" I am looking forward to that!
But with the coming of the Tau this means the end of EoT stuff...sure most of it was rather bad and replicated in WD, but I really wanted to see Battleflet:Cadia.....oh well.
I also got a rather strange letter with my BFG mag, basically saying my subscription is up in two issues time. (I payed for one year and got two...lucky or what!). The thing is this is like a general letter for all the Fanatic Mags, and on it I can get a Warmaster mag subcription for ?2! I would have thought they checked for typo's like that....
Cheers
Chris

Hmmm I await mine with anticipation!!
Sounds good about the Grey knights; I have just bought a couple of strike cruisers and wondered if there would be more to come.
Were the Tau ships different from whats been already seen of the Tau BFG range?

The escorts we have seen were on there, as well as the "Hero" class cruiser, but their were two others I had not seen, a larger cruiser and a very beautiful battleship sized one.
Cheers

Yep, thats the battleship. Ain't it amazing! From the first pics we saw of Tau ships I was dissapointed, but now, with the battleship [drool] I might just have to get some...
Cheers, Chris.

I dont buy the BFG mag often, but if next months is the tau release, I may have to venture down to my nearest GW store.

yes I agree that after seeing some Epic Tau I was certainly interested in what FW had to offer in regards to BFG tau.
Saying that though I did like the chaos ships with chaos bits all over it, I saw one originally at salute and that looked really cool.

I just got my copy the other day and I've got to say that this is one of the worst issues I've read. ?
What a load of rubbish in this issue. ?The only good thing is rules for Grey Knights & they'll most likely be available to download soon. ?
The rest is just crap to fill it up. ?Who cares about how someone decided on how to build his fleet? ?The mini campaign is nice but it would be better filled with a conversion or something...

I too have to agree with Campsie that this BFG mag was rather crap. I have noticed that the mag itself was getting worse and worse over the past few months.
BUT!!! What seriously pis*es me off is when I have payed for my subscription to have rules turn up on the web or in a White Dwarf mag within a few months. I am seriously thinking about not renewing my subscription now.
I hope Epic mag doesn't go this way when it re-starts again.
Cheers
Chris

It makes me wonder why I've taken out the subscription myself.
I'm sure they can do better than that.
Darkone, it is truley terrible... don't bother getting it. The only thing of interest is the Grey Knights rules and even those are abit poor.
