Chris you're right but aquila sounded better for our gaming group, were mostly spanish and "aquila" means eagle in spanish.

Guys, the old Space Fleet vessels make REALLY good system defence ships. I agree they are too cool to use as "fat boys" (aka merchants/troop transports) and they really display a bit of the "manufactured to local specifications from locally aquired materials" look that I always thought went with system defence ships. |

I have an Imperial fleet...this is what is painted... 3 Battleships (emperor/oberon/victory) 3 Battlecruisers (mars/overlord/armageddon) 8 cruisers (1 of each and an extra lunar) 2 light cruisers 5 sword 6 firestorm 11 cobra With some plastics for assembly (can't deceide what I want) and a pair of ships lost in the warp (waiting on mail order!) regards... ps I must go and tot up how much that is in points... |

Hola. I just recently picked up the game and just build what I could from the box set, and opted to eventually get a few others to fill up a 1000 pt Imperial and Chaos fleet. I know these are pretty small compared to you guys, but I figured if I had less, I'd really care about them and try to do a good job with them. My Imperial Fleet has 1 Overlord (I took the Dark Angel icon off of Anzrel's[?is that his name?] standard and stuck it on the bridge. It looks like a mini battleship and is by far my favorite). 1 Dictator 1 Gothic 1 Mars with plans to get 3 Firestorms My Chaos Fleet Includes 1 Hades 1 Murder 1 Devastation 1 Slaughter With plans to get 3 Idolators 3 Iconoclasts I also want to get the fighters and bombers too. I know I don't need much. I know it's not much, but I have to admit I am not crazy about Battlefleet Gothic. I like the Eldar, but I thought I'd just try to build up with what came in the box set. I would probably dive right into the Dark Eldar if there were more of a variety of ships. . . |

...Now have virtually all my fleet painted up and ready to go- I am currently re-working three second-hand cruisers (hacking off launch bays etc), to get them into what I want- when I am done, of my 14 CA/HC, I will have: 1 Mars, 1 Overlord, 1 Armageddon, 4 Lunars, 2 Tyrants, 1 Dominator, 2 Gothics, 2 Dictators.

Ok, my fleet is almost complete. 4 more cruisers,3 more Retrributions, some escorts plus a few old style firestorms and cobras on their way. All should be painted to a playable level and named in a week or two. I will post pics when it is done. BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! I just need an opponent. ...heh.. blimey, you built that lot up fast Signius...... Any chance of some pictures?? ? -I'm fairly sure the Falchion rules are not yet on the web- Fanatic site or otherwise- which is most annoying as some will be part of my next BFG purchase, and I don't have the BFG Mag the rules were in...

Yeah, I seemed to have gone full bore with the building of my fleet. Didn't take too long. I think the rules for the falchion are in teh BFG mag12. I need to get one. I am pretty stoked. The fllet is all but built. I just want two old gothics and I am done. I don't want any of the other ships I have seen. The FW ones, I mean. But, who knows. Maybe a new ship will come along.  As I said, all I need now is an opponent to learn the games particulars and see what my fleet can do. There is a hobbyshop around here that I was invited to join in on their BFG games they hold on saturday. I may have to check it out. I just do not like the guy who works there. He's one of those know-it-all types. You know what I mean.  Constantly bragging and arrogant to boot. Who knows, I may learn to like the guy if I don't kill him first.

OH DEAR!!! I suppose before I start I should point out that where gaming is concerned I am probably certifiable. I like to play campaigns and I prefer to have all the units in a campaign available for play. My Golgotha setting is an imperial rebellion. Prior to rebellion the fleet consisted of (roughly) 17 battleships, 18 BC's, 62 cruisers (heh I have 19 lunars) 62 light cruisers and heavy escorts, 93 Escorts. Oh yeah , I still have ships to build. I guess I should also admit to having over 200 bases of ordnance (attack craft) plus a lot of ?torpedos plus transports. Yeap I am sick. ?
