Hello All,
Just wondering, how big are all of your fleets? In points that is.
My fleet has just got to 3000pts. It's Imperial and I have just finished my second battleship, an emperor.
So what about everyone else?
Cheers
Chris

My fleet is pretty new. I have still to complete it. I finally decided on the configs I am to be using. As it stands the fleet consists of the following.
1 Retaliator Grand Cruiser 295pts 1 Emperor Battleship 345 1 Retribution Battleship 365 1 Overlord Cruiser 235 1 Dominator 190 2 Mars Cruisers 340 2 Gothic Cruisers 360
Total pts: 2130
Pretty meager, I know. But, I am on my way.

Mine tops out at 5k inlcuding 3 battleships, 12 cruisers and 8 escort squadrons....
My friend has penchant for building multiple space hulks so to combat the unbelieveable sight of 3 hulks invading an Imperial system, the High Lords of Terra dispatched to Uberfllet- all the above plus my SM Fleet of 2 battlebarges and 6 strike cruisers. It was quite a battle and one that took place on a whopping 18ft x 18ft area with 8 planets!
It was an inlikely sight and a battle of a size not usually seen. Thus you could say my fleet is unnecessarily large. Of course, I wouldn't...

I have a small Ork fleet (Long story):
- Hulk (Friend sold it to me) - Hammer (Friend asked me to finish converting it) - x4 Brute Ramships (actually converted to be Epic Ork Bommas) - I borrowed the rest.
I have a sizable Imperial Fleet (bought from a friend who needed money) (All painted):
- x2 Battleships - x1 Space Station - x4-8 Cruisers - x2 Dauntless - x8-12 Escorts - I didn't count them to be exact.
I just bought a Necron fleet (bought as leftover bitz):
- x2 Battleships (Need a few bitz to finish them) - x4 Cruisers (x2 of each type) - x14 Bigger Escort (Maybe this is too many!) - x3 Smaller Escort - Some additional bitz to make Harvests, but too expensive to finish.
I also have some plastic sprues from the boxed set and some extra plastic cruisers given to me for no reason whatsoever.
Shalom, Maksim-Smelchak.

My Imperial fleet has recently grown in size to almost 5000pts; At the moment I have:
-2 Battleships, -2 Battlecruisers, -12 Cruisers, -2 Dauntless LC, -12 Cobras, -9 Swords, -3 Firestorms, -3 Transports, -1 Converted 'Tug-like' ship I made..
I did some trades of the BFG Chaos stuff I had to get my latest additions, as well as trading some 40k models to get an approx 1000pt Tau army, which I am currently working on...

I've two fleets on the go.
My Chaos has:
Desolator Battleship Hades Heavy Cruiser Acheron Heavy Cruiser Devastation Cruiser Murder Cruiser Slaughter Cruiser Carnage Cruiser
My Imperial
Mars Battlecruiser Lunar Cruiser Dominator Cruiser Gothic Cruiser Tyrant Cruiser 6 Sword 3 Firestorm
I've also got some leftover ships from Space Fleet
Emperor Battleship 2 Gothic 2 Ironclad 4 Firestorm 4 Wraith Ships
With the exeption of the Wraith ships I've no idea what to use the others for , although I'm thinking about using the Gothics or Ironclads as Hawking Cruisers
Any ideas would be very grateful... I'm using the Wraithships as Umbra Cruisers

Some people use the old Battleships as Heavy transports, they fit the description and fit in well with the sizes of the other ships.
Stormseer - 5000pts!!! Nice. I want to expand some more, I just finished my Emperor and want another!!!
Cheers
Chris

It dosen't seem right to use the old ships as transports, they are too good a model to not be a war ship, except the Emperor...

Yeah I have a SpaceFleet set and was wondering what to do with the Gothics.....
The Eldar Wraithships are pretty cool models too.. They don't really fit with the newer Eldar ships though..

I loved the old Gothics and Ironclads. I also prefered the old Eldar ships to the newer ones. I am still regreting trading mine off. But, at the time I had no intention of going back to the game. If I can get ahold of some I will. The gothics and Ironclads could be used as light cruisers or heavy destroyers.

Signius,
I bought a ton of stuff (about $50.00 USD worth after the discount) today for you. I'll send you a list later.
Shalom, Maksim.

looks like everyone has the same problem in regards to fleet sizes, you can never have enough. My fleet, unfortunetly only primered, consists of: 2 battleships(emperor, retribution) 1 mars 1 overlord 2 armageddon 1 aquila 4 lunars 3 tyrants 2 gothics 2 dictators 4 dauntless' 6 firestorms 16 swords 24 cobras 6 transports 3 assault transports(conversion) 3 SM tactical cruisers(conversion) and finally 8 chaos cruisers somewhere lost in the warp are 3 battle barges, 4 strike cruisers,6 gladius' and 3 hunters, Emperor knows where they are.

Centurion, I haven't heard of this one: aquila? What is that? I probably know but have forgotten.
Cheers

No, I didn't.. Thanks CyberShadow, a great little article- I loved the fluff introduction, and the stats look pretty fair at a glance...
Has anyone played using these rules? -I am tempted to have a little game with my pair of Wraithships/Umbras against a few esorts or light cruisers to see how they fare in battle...
PS- Is there anything similar planned for the Imperial ships, and indeed the Tyranid ones?
