Well, BFG requires some tactics, but chess or other gaming systems are more complicated in that field
It is not for morons (few games are) but does not require you to be welling to do OK. maybe to excel at beating the opponent hands down, yes, but not to be able to perform an OK role
It is one of the things I like about it. For me Blood Bowl is one of the best GW games tactically speaking. 40k and others are bland in that field (blander(?) than BFG). But that is a completely different discussion. The fact that a game does not require you to be Napoleon does not mean that it is not A TON OF FUN and tactically challenging.
The fiun part and background is what makes me play this game. Oh, and the possibility to look at the 40k players ranting about their all powerful Baneblade or warhound titan and be able to chuckle at them as "toy players" that do not know what true firepower is
LMAO. I had a great in character scene in a GW store once just because of that.
