In the section on Space Marine Fleets in the Armada book it says that the chapter serfs that man the ships 'benefit from remarkable training and access to weaponry superior to that usually found on a naval vessel, making them a fearsome prospect in a boarding action - even without the support of their genetically modified lords'. What would these guys look like and what would they be armed with? Armor like a stormtrooper or scout marine? Armed with bolters? |

Why not arbites shotguns? Suitably low armour penetration but high lethality. As for training Territorial Army royal marine commando training level maybe? Thats about as intense as you could get without compromising your other ship board duties. |

Generally, Chapter Serfs are those who dont make the selection challenges to become a full Marine. Therefore, they wont have the black carapace and powered armour links, so they cant wear Marine armour, but they may have other implants and upgrades. |
