Ok, at the moment I've got the following:

    Kill Kroozer: 155 pts.
    + Boarding torpedoes: 5 pts.

    Terror Ship: 185 pts.
    + Boarding torpedoes: 5 pts.
    + Warlord: 40 pts.
    + 2 Extra re-rolls: 40 pts.
    + Mega-armoured boarding parties: 15 pts.

    Terror Ship: 185 pts.
    + Boarding torpedoes: 5 pts.
    + Warlord: 40 pts.
    + 2 Extra re-rolls: 40 pts.
    + Looted torpedoes: 20 pts.

    Terror Ship: 185 pts.
    + Boarding torpedoes: 5 pts.

    5 Ravager Gunships: 200 pts.

Total: 1125 pts.

I'm planning on adding either another squadron of Ravager Gunships or otherwise a squadron of Brute Ram Ships.

What I'm curious about is...well you can add a Warlord to your fleet for every 500 pts. you spend, but does this include upgrades or is this just 500 pts. on ships exclusively? Because the fleet I currently have is 1125 pts. (including warlords and upgrades) so technically I could add a third Warlord for my other Terror Ship. However without the Warlords and upgrades my ship would be a mere 910 pts. and thus not large enough for a third Warlord.

Help? Any suggestions for the fleet itself by the way?

Hi malika,

The restiction on Warlords isn't specific on what you spend your points on, merely how large your overall fleet will be. So for a 1500pt game you could have 3 warlords (on average a 1500pt fleet will be worth 1480-1500pts).

A 1250pt game (for some reason game sizes run in multiples of 250's  :confuse: ) would allow you to have your 3rd warlord.

I can't leave without saying that the looted torps upgrade isn't worth it!  Get an extra shield! :D

Yeah, I noticed. Check out by 2000 pts. list:

-Terror ship + Warlord + 2 re-rolls (265)
-Terror ship + Warlord + 2 re-rolls (265)
-5 Ravager Gunships (200)
-5 Ravager Gunships (200)
-5 Brute Ram Ships (125)
-4 Brute Ram Ships (100)

Total = 1995

I might drop some of the Brute Ram Ships in favour of Torpedo Bommers and some shields. The Ravager squadrons will also be changed, right now I've got 6 ravager models "finished", but instead of building 4 more of then I might be building 4 Onslaughts which will give the squadrons a bit more firepower. And since I'm scratchbuilding my fleet I can simply build whatever other ships I might need. Check out that thread here.

Proppa Orkz dont rely on Torpz.
Effective or not... it just aint proppa to rely on long range weaponz!

sadly from my experience, brute ships are poop. i tried running a horde style fleet for a while, and ive recently switched to 2-3 terror ships and a load of ravagers led by gorbad's revenge.
