Have you had a chance to make any mock ups for the ships or is there an existing fleet you planned on using, something like the Babylon 5 ships? :p

The Earth Alliance fleet is quite cool and would look great on the battlefront   ???

Not to complain but I would have loved a picture of the interior of the vessels. Still thinking too human, rather than an insect hive.

Also curious for other people's thoughts on how exactly a Q'orl (the aerial sub-caste) stand up. If I'm picturing it correctly from Xenology, they stand on the four 'leg' limbs, and walk towards something with the abdominal sac pointing towards it, the upper cavity, with 'head' looking over the rest of its form as it advances?

Hmm, interesting, you don't think they might fly everywhere? Or even have artificial gravity on thier ships! I want to be more active on this topic, I just need to sort this bloody computer out! (some how!)

It might be a better idea to run a distinct thread for your fleet list - I can ask CyberShadow to change the title of this thread to show that it's about my take on the Swarmfleet.

I'll get onto sorting out a thread for my vision (I mean version :;): ) of the Q'orl fleet list. I'm just waiting for a friend(Ash) to photoshop some of his drawings! (I guess I should do the same for the language)

Ps: For those of you waiting for the next issue of Warp Rift I appologise for my slowness in sorting out the rules articles (and my computer), I'll get on it when it becomes more doable (lucky I can edit out swearing, as my references to this computer are rather... distastefull! Grr! I hate computers!)

Oh, I think they could have artificial gravity on their vessels (although that would mean they have an up/down on board, so they'd have to walk about).

My point came from the Q'orl we see in Xenology, doesn't have wings! How could he fly any where? :;):

Hey Gary,

A few points (as well as the long sought question: How's things?):

- I re-read some bits of Xenology today and realised: You haven't kept parity with the book! You haven't spelled loqqit/loqiit/loquit differently on each page!  :p

- It's refreshing to have a browse through this again, actually got the sparks thinking now on how to try my hand at converting some of the buggers (Don't tell Moscovian, he'll lynch me if he thinks I'm wasting precious conversion time on something not-DE[little does he know I've potential-Demiurg pieces sitting all around...])

- Did you ever try sending this off to Forgeworld to see what they made of it? Given the quality and clarity of the artwork, I can't see how they'd refuse it (in the long-run at least!)

I wish we could hear a bit more about the Q'orl...

I've just had a quick look at this, and I'm highly impressed at how this is presented in terms of structure and artwork!  I'm afraind I'm not enough of a BFG expert ot comment upon the rules, but I'm sure they're great! :D

I'd echo Xisor, you should send this to FW, SG, GW - in fact anybody who might take notice. We'll get the swarmhood in to more 40k games! :cool:

Andy Hall at SG turned it down. Foolish I say.
But maybe now is the time. He mentioned Fanatic would consist of higher quality articles in the future. Q'orl should/could be one of them.
