I'd enjoy seeing more on this too.

In my Epic TL battles I have faced Chaos forces more than any other. So with Chaos being so prevalent in my segmentum of space, it seemed only fitting in designing my SM fleet to add more GK in my forces than normal. Addressing this by acquiring FW's very nice strike cruiser. I also put in an ancient Galaxy class troop ship from the old SpaceFleet range to allow for the extra equipment--that and it looks like nothing normal marine chapters or the Imperial Fleet use to get around. I clearly need a few more FW strike cruisers--I like 'em.

I remember there was an article for the Black Ships of the Inquisition, any fluff or fleet registries for those? Can't recall anything "official" so any of you put together something you care to share?

An idea I had was to field Black Ships with GK strike cruiser escorts. Given the secretive nature of their endeavors vs. Chaos this makes sense to me. NOT hard to imagine using the new Adeptus Mechanicus ship models from GW painted up as Inquisition Black ships. These models are way cool too! Mix in a SM BB and there you go. I don't see it as the role of the GKs to purify entire planets on thier own however. I see them more directly attacking the strongest source of chaos infestation or psychic energy and leaving once vanquished. A call to a local SM chapter or IG force to mop up would be a more efficient use of(expendable) assets. My point is I don't see a GK fleet heavy on BBs. Preferring to use them as mobile temples their force would be more strike cruiser specific. So restricting the number of BBs would suffice. Also restrict the number of Battleships available to the Inquisition. I can't see the Imperial Fleet Admirals objecting to this. Rarely if ever (outside of Huge engagements) would there be BOTH a GK Battlebarge and an Inquisition Battleship. I see no other Imperial Fleet ships being used here if you get my meaning. All escorts would SM class as GK ships.

Also it strikes me that their tactics would inevitably be more suited to hit and run. NO heavy slogging engagements of attrition--they simply do not have the time resources to bother. So my final thoughts here; smaller, fewer, and faster ships. Limited range weapons but off-the-charts boarding and more accurate Teleport from longer range?

These are just my random thoughts, I really need to get more games under my belt to feel ready to create a fleet list with points so let's here from you vets! What do you think?
