Hi guys!
When I got into BFG about a year and a half ago I found it to be a great game. However I must admit that over time I've come to realize that I'm short of time to get to play all that much. Whenever I do get time it is usually spent on E:A so having two fairly massive fleets just sitting in boxes seems like a bit of a waste.
At the moment I'still haven't quite decided but I am considering selling my BFG stuff. The question is what price to take for the stuff. Both Chaos and Imperial fleets are painted to a fairly high standard so I was hoping to at least get my money back. Not wanting to be greedy or anything I was just wondering if you think it is reasonable to charge something for the painting itself. I was thinking something in the ?5-?10 range for Battleships and a bit less for cruisers etc. Do you think that'd be too much?
Also what'd be the best way to sell it? As one massive fleet? Small batches? or individual ships?
The BFG stuff I have painted at the moment can be seen here: http://www.mustangsalling.dk/bfg.html
I've also got a bunch of unused Imperial and Chaos weapons spures which I had to work a bit with the Trolls to get seperately from Mail Order. They're ?1 for the Imperial ones and ?3 for teh Chaos ones (Don't ask me why there's such a big difference...)
Cheers!

Hi!
If your planning on using ebay, I'd say smaller groups is easier and more profitable.

Shame you have decided to sell it. I'd set the reserve at cost plus at least what you have just stated for painting. They look great.

Thanks. In a way I'm not sure I want to bother with E-bay. The fees for using Paypal are high enough so maybe I'll just set a price and try to sell some of it here.
I suppose small batches are the easiest way to do it then. Perhaps something like a pair of cruisers + a blister worth of escorts for a given price.
That'd add up to something like: Cruisers: ?9 Escorts: ?6 paintjob: ?5 Total: ?20 + shipping
Or a battleship: Battleship/Grand Cruiser: ?15 Paint job: ?5 Perhaps throw in a blister worth of Attack Craft Total ?25
Cheers!

Doing a rough inventory I think the fleet total is somehthing like this:
Imperial Fleet
1 Dreadnought 1 Emperor 1 Apocalypse 1 Retribution 1 Oberon 1 Vengeance 4 Lunars 2 Dictators 2 Gothics 2 Tyrants/Dominators 3 Dauntless' 2 blisters of Cobras 2 Blisters of Swords 1 blister of Falchions 1 blister of Firestorms 2 blisters of Defence Monitors One blister each of attack craft 1 blister of Transport ships
Scratch builds/conversions: 2 Pocket Battleships 1 Invincible class Fast Battleship 3 Battlecruisers (Mars, Armageddon, Overlord) 1 Avenger Grand Cruiser 2 Escort carrier Light Cruisers 1 Fleet Carrier
Chaos Fleet:
1 Planet Killer (heavily converted) 1 Despoiler 1 Desolator 2 Repulsives 1 Retaliator 1 Hellfire 1 Styx 1 Acheron 1 Hades 4 Slaughters 4 Murders (two normal, two Lance variants) 2 Carnages 2 Devastations two blisters of Iconoclasts 1 blister of Infidels once pack each of the Chaos AC 3 packs of Forge World Dreadclaws
1 Converted Grand battleship (from Despoiler Hull)
Also there's a Space Station + about 10 complete weapon spures for both Chaos and the Imperium. Finally some terrain ie. a load of styrofoam planets.
Also I've got the BFG box complete except for the cruisers and a few sheets from the fleet rooster.
Books: BFG Blue Book BFG Armada BFG 2002 Annual A printed pdf of all ship designs released for BFG
Cheers!

I'm interested in the copy of Armada WM, keep me in mind whenever you are ready...
Good luck with the sales, although I'm rather sad to see you selling them- the two fleets are a lovely pair, really well painted and converted to a great standard- if I'd taken the time, I know I wouldn't be able to bring myself to sell them, no matter the price!
Cheers, ~G

Hi there!
Pity you have decided to part with it all. Since it seems it is a prety solid decision, I would like to know how much you would charge for *all* your chaos stuff. I have a bunch of playing mates that are getting into the hobby, and 2 of them are planning on getting chaos fleets. I also play chaos, so we might be interested in buying the bunch of it. besides, you will be assured it is kept inside the "BFG freaks fanbase" if we reach an agreement

Very provisionally, how much'd you say for
Oberon Apocalypse Vengence Avenger
?
Fleet colours seem to be roughly similar to my own, which is always handy.
