Well just finished a small 1500 pt Tau vs Dark Eldar, with the highlight being a 5 round Assault.

A formation of 6 Wyches and 2 Warp beasts assaulted an intermingled formation of 6 Stealth suits and 6 Pirhanas. The DE managed to get into B2B contact with all the stealths therfore nullifying thier first stike, but were unable to capitalise on it due to the Stealths RA. The DE with 8 attacks at 3+ couldn't budge the stubborn Tau. After 5 rounds of tied results the Tau were reduced to 3 pirhanas (with only three wych fatalities) but due to an unlucky dice roll lost and were finally wiped out while fleeing. And who says Tau can't hold thier own in an assault  :laugh:

Has anyone else had an assault last so long?
