Hi, Barrage : I have 3 Whirlwinds which fire on an Ork Detachment. I place 3 templates (one for each whirlwind) on the target. I am right? or there is only one template to use? What a Titan do after a lost assault? : When a detachment lose an assault, it must do a retreat move. It's OK! A titan haven't to do this move because it can never be broken and do not retreat. it's OK! But, in the next turn, the titan is always in contact with the enemy. The titan can move to somewhere else? Or he can't move until the assault is finished? |

3 whirlwinds-firepower three check your firepower with the kind of target in the chart and it will tell you how many templates to place. |

So, if I understand you (my english is not very great) : 3 whirlwinds fire on infantry under cover : Firepower = 3 (1 per Whirlwind) I use 1 templates If the infantry is on the march, I use 2 templates. is it right? |

Thanks you for your help. So I can conclude with this exemple : There are 3 whirlwinds, it means a firepower = 3 (1 per vehicle) I lock on the table (with regards to the target) to know how many template I can put. I put the template(s) on the target. I count the unities which are under the template(s). The number give me the dice number to launch to hit. Is it ok? |

3 Whirldwinds means 3 templates. You can place the templates anywhere over the target detachment. Count the number of units under each template and that ¡s the firepower. You can overlap templates or, in fact, place all at the same spot (you only need one template in this case, and firepower is number of units x 3). ![]() |

Thanks! I played it like that, but it seemed to me very strong. That is why I had a doubt. Now, it is sure : the BARRAGE weapons mustn't be ignored. |

Hi Tigbus, you are getting there ![]() When you check the unit stats for the Whirlwind unit, it has 1 barrage point. Those units that can fire add their barrage points together which you check on the barrage table to determine how many templates etc you can use so in your example the three whirlwinds may shoot with up to 3 barrage points. The process is slightly different from normal shooting, and is presented in the section of the rules on barrages, but in summary are as follows.
I hope that makes sense. |

When you write "barrage table" you means "Firepower table"? Because I know the barrage table for EPIC ARMAGEDDON but not for EPIC 40.000 |

Tigibus wrote: When you write "barrage table" you means "Firepower table"? Because I know the barrage table for EPIC ARMAGEDDON but not for EPIC 40.000 Hi Tigibus, I don't think Ginger realised this thread was in the E40k forum. His answer relates to E:A, not E40k I believe. Cheers Reedar |

Yes Ginger has quoted the EA method and not the much simpler E40k version explained by lord-Bruno. ![]() ![]() |

Hi, I have an other question concerning the titan : What a Titan do after a lost assault? When a detachment lose an assault, it must do a retreat move. It's OK! A titan haven't to do this move because it can never be broken and do not retreat. it's OK! But, in the next turn, the titan is always in contact with the enemy. The titan can move to somewhere else? Or he can't move until the assault is finished? |
