Post subject:  Eldar Warp Hunter - weapons?
Hi all, I recently bought a squadron of Eldar Warp Hunters - I know they were armed with the warp cannon/d-cannon, but did they have any other weapons?

If anyone could advise me or even scan me the original datacard, I'd be forever in your debt!

In Epic:Armageddon, the Warp Hunter is now for all intents and purposes, the Cobra, with the following statistics.

Code Sample: 
Cobra   WE   25cm   5+   6+   5+
Cobra D-Cannon*          30cm      2BP, TK (D3+1), FxF
Shuriken Cannon          30cm      AP5+
Eldar Missile Launcher   45cm      AP5+/AT6+/AA6+

DC 3, Skimmer, Reinforced Armour

Critical Hit Effect: The Cobra’s gravitic drives implode, sucking nearby troops into an energy maelstrom. The Cobra is destroyed and any models within 5cm of the
model suffer one hit on a roll of 6.

* Cobra D-Cannon: This weapon counts as having the 'Ignore Cover' special ability against war engine class targets


Not being familiar with Epic 40K, I can't help much with conversions back, but above, it's got a Shuriken Cannon and the Eldar Missile Launcher. The Shuriken Cannon in E:A is the same as that used on the Tempest (Scorpion), and the Eldar Missile Launcher the same as that on the Revenant Scout Titans. I can't vouch for any other changes that may have been made between editions. Someone with more familiarity will have to help out there.

I'd use following stats in Epic 40,000 3rd edition.

Warp Hunter 41 Points
Move 30cm
Range 45cm
2 x anti-tank
Assault 1
Armour 5+
Skimmer

I am pretty sure the Cobra is the Epic 40k equivalent to the Warp Hunter, as the Scorpion is to the Tempest. ;)

Ah, interesting too. And more acceptable. I'll have a look into this.

Edit: You're right. The Warp Hunter doesn't need its own stats in Epic 40,000. It can use the Cobra war engine stats. Thnx for pointing that out.
