If you have any gaps in your tyranid set up, Onslaught miniatures have produced a line that would work nicely as proxies. Good luck!

On the topic of Onslaughts fine items as proxies . . . Has anyone done an Army list /rules for either E:A or NetE ( Heck even E40K ) for Genestealer formations? I know they aren't strictly canon anymore, nevertheless it might be interesting to have them as opposition on occasion, or as spearhead units :)

In both Epic 40K and EA, genestealers are too good to really let loose by themselves without meat shields. In EA, against anything like armor or Terminators they fall short while in Epic 40k they are very delicate buzzsaws.

One of the issues of Firepower has rules for a genestealer cultist army so you can check there if you're looking for a primarily all-genestealer force.

I didn't play Titans, but I always ended up blasted by IG artillery.

I found the best tactics for tyranid titans is a "go for broke" charge with two ablative hierodules in front of a hierophant and a queen. The hierophant even has a chance of winning against an Imperator, but only if it can get into range. It helps to have mycetic swarms as backup and a solid armored detachment following behind.

I always wondered why they didn't allow regeneration. It would have made them much cooler. Instead, they made them a little tougher which isn't much solace when you've just had your main guy lanced by several death rays.

Yeah but when you're against warlords with ccweapons you need 2:1 to have a chance to win the combat ant they'll blast you before that with the vortexs and energy cannons

That's why you have the Herodules. They soak up the punishment while stripping shields. Once the shields are gone, you use a broodmother against it. If the warlord focuses on the Hierophant then suddenly it has to deal with two Hierodules.

Your Hierophant should have the tentacles that disable any titan CC weapons so then it's your ripper claws verse their regular CC.

It's a messy, expensive tactic that can go horribly wrong but great when it works.
