Something I've noticed over the years is that demon hordes (especially a large group of Bloodthirsters) and Eldar aspect warriors enjoy an almost inhumane advantage during the CC phase due to their wings/grav tanks, etc.

Has anyone experimented with adding rules for overwatch back into their game? If not, do you think it would unbalance it?

I think the damage done by enemy units catapulting across the table and into your lines is mitigated when you do "YOUGOIGO" turns for CC because then after your unit gets mauled you can at least close for hand-to-hand/firefight with a second unit.

I think E40K addressed this by having the first move and the assault move (sorry, it has been a long time, so I don't remember the terms) in two phases, with firing in between. I guess you're saying that that isn't enough, when a single move can be long.

I think allowing firefights and close combats together helps, but that's a bit of a stretch for E40K.
