So today I managed some time to organise my boxes of Epic goodness and actually discovered I had tons of Marines that I can use for my Emperor's Children section of this ToEG without having to resort to eBay.

I'm planning on using some Chaos champion models as commanders in my Emperor's Chimps as I think their style and cloaks are a bit more in keeping with the flamboyant Emperor's Children. Plus I can reuse them as chaos marines!

Anyway, progress today on my wave serpents for the guardian formation. Got the infantry based last night and the tanks today.

I used an asymmetric line as a squadron marking and will continue this with other transports. What's people's thoughts? Comments and criticism welcome as always.

Next up is some Aspect Warriors: 4 Warp Spiders (pet love), 1 stand with warp spider exarch to swap in/out as needed and 2 banshees and 2 dark reapers. Just grabbing what is at hand without having to dig into my mint sprues of Eldar infantry.

@Rastamann yes the purple was just the base colour. As with most Epic models you need to really exaggerate the highlights to make them pop.

The stripes look good :) also love the ice-blue shading on the Wave Serpents.

So guys a quick gauge of opinion. Do I paint my aspects in standard colours with purple helmets or go craft world green with aspect colour accents? Ie warp spiders go red black with purple helmet or green body black backpack and White helmets?

Great highlighting :) with regard to the Aspect warriors, honestly I'd say it's your choice. Maybe paint up a test model (literally model, not stand) of each and see how it looks?
