Full scale cleaning and priming operations are underway. I way not be killing myself to clean every line of flash off of the 6mm infantry. Its crazy and making me cross eyed. Plus one stoke too hard or many and the model is damaged.

I have settled of white primer. WE white will be foundry Austrian White 67B, highlighted by Italeri Gloss white. This combination with the use of a wet palette keeps the white from looking chunky, and like cake icing. WE blue will be foundry Prussian blue 66C, highlighted by Bavarian cornflower blue 73C. Red will be model color's Red 033, highlighted by Cavalry brown 137.

The army will be based on the forum made french round bases. I got them a couple of years ago. Recently rediscovered in the remodeling. Perfect!

I use all sorts of brands. Each brand is different and each brand has bums and stars. I am no fan boy, and I am not afraid to pitch a new bottle if it's a bum.
My take on Foundry paints. The Foundry paints are not very popular, maybe because of availability. Yes they are expensive and you kind of have to order in bulk to make them worth the price. And get them on sale with free shipping. What I like about them and makes me look toward the line first is; the pigment, cap design, and its behavior.
The pigment remain the same no matter how diluted you make it. The paint is mixed very well. You need nothing special other than water to dilute them.
The cap and or bottle design keeps the paint fresh longer. Weather they sit in my room, bake in a car or freeze when I fly they are the best to travel with. They seem to maintain freshness. I have never had to toss a bottle out.
The behavior of the paint across different qualities of brushes is not noticeable. Of course a very good brush will let you accomplish internet results, but it is not a necessity.

That army is going to look insane once you have them all painted. The Land Raider is nuts for the amount of detail that it has.

I never thought I could get excited to see 30k stuff again, but threads like this make me grin from ear to ear. =)

I am not dead yet. Just two months in Argentina. Game on!

Some old school rhinos to jump start the project. Hopefully I can bang them out while at Cold Wars.

Screwing around with different whites and washes/inks.

I think I will leave them looking more dirty than clean. The pure white, straight off the factory floor, is not meeting with what I picture the WEs to be.

The ultra bleach white rhino is way to white. And it looks as if I iced the tank with paint instead of laying up to pure white. It also takes twice as long.

I am going with the dirty look. Now I just need to chip up the armor and apply some MIG weathering

Pale colours are hard to pull off- the dirty one looks more "natural"

The dirty look is far better than the shiny white. Great job.

Waiting on 3rd party bases. They will be inked and weathered with the bases, so that everything matches.
