The bases are tablet style bases from east riding miniatures, the standard size(infantry) are the same as FOW small bases, whilst they provide a lot of different sizes, the large vehicle bases are just slightly smaller than the standard infantry base for FOW.

Just gorgeous! That's a tough paint scheme. Really nice stuff. Love the bases, the light sand really sets the blue and white off nicely.

hello all,

Time for a sunday evening update methinks!

This week i've been concentrating on getting the first of two battle companies finished. With the Devastator detachment I finished earlier in the week, and completing my assault detachment last night im finally there...company done!

Image

Assault detachment from the Novamarines 3rd company moves to confront an unknown enemy.

While I was at it I also managed to get my scout detachment finished. I just need to sort them out with some transport.

Image

Novamarine scouts secure a chemical treatment plant.

So i've been painting quite alot of white and blue, so for a change i painted this....

Image

Unknown Xenos sighted, Hunter force despatched.

Image

Assault detachment surround and kill the Xenos creature.

This scorpion rider model is from steel crown productions and was a freebie, ive no idea what it is really, so I just painted it up as a kind of nomadic desert raider.

Thats all for now, ill be doing some vehicles next, another whirlwind battery sits on the painting desk, along with a squadron of predators, hopefully ill have time to get them done this week.

Cheers
steve

Great work on these!

You should checkout and play Epic: Horus Heresy too; your colours very closely match the HH era colours for the World Eaters.

I do! ;D

I have set myself a bit of a challenge with these, as it can get very tedious to say the least!

The small infantry bases are 30mm x 20mm and the larger bases for the landraiders etc are 40mm x 30mm. The walker bases, dreads etc are 20mm square. All are the tablet bases from East Riding Miniatures.

Thanks for the comments chaps, it really helps keep me motivated.

Steve

Well its that time of week again, heres the Sunday evening update...

Image

The second Whirlwind battery

Image

Predator Squadron

Image

As painting so much blue and white can get tedious, I decided to paint up these Exodus wars minis as an Inquisitor and his retinue. Im not even sure what these guys are, but they looked exotic enough...

Image

Heres a close up of the converted plastic Rhino, im really crap at freehand, so was happy how the insignia on this came out.

Next week im working on more vehicles, namely these:

Image

Home made stalkers! Ive used the turrets from an exodus war model, and will probably use these as Hunters..?

Image

Homemade Razorbacks, ill call these Hector pattern ;) Again using turrets from the excellent Exodus wars bits store.

Hopefully ill find the time to get these lot done, have a good week chaps.

Hi all,

Well its Sunday evening again already, and I havent managed to paint much this week, hopefully next week Ill have a bit more spare time!

So here's what i've got done this week.....

Image

Image

I only managed to get half of my "Hector" pattern razorbacks finished, the other 3 are nearly done, so Ill save those for next weeks update.

Image

In a change of plan I decided to paint up my chapter master, as ive had these old oop models for ages...

I also ended up building some more scenery bits out of junk......

Image

Power generator

Image

Colony landing pad and control tower.

Both made out of contact lens cases, and bits of card... and a bottle top! :spin

Have a good week,

Steve
