The cracked effect took way too long and had alot of room for error. you need a healthy amount on each base, and painting it on around troops and such was a chore. was holding up my army progress quite a bit. on the table you really cant tell from even a foot away.

Touch ups are hard as well, i thought baneblade earth was an exact color match, but its not. So if you want to cover up a small area with JUST the color you really cant.

Also, the regular glue and sand gives a real 3d effect the crackle does not. its very flat in terms of trying to pick out drybrush detail.

Maybe a one off piece would be great...but its easier to use this tried and true method. can repaint, paint over and change up if the shade or color is not quite right.

the agrellan was quite fragile as well on the base....needed to coat it with sealer. didnt feel game ready to me

I did quite like the effect, too bad it didnt work out the way i had hoped.

GW might be better off releasing a mix to add to other paints, use the exact color you want, etc etc. Other companies have this type of thing

@ Volrath. It is amazing to see some of these shapeaways bits in use. I never realised the detail they could achieve. Putting one turret on the front and two on the side of your big tank is definitely the best combination. It looks great.

@ elsmore. Are they rare because they're unpainted, or just because they're the old Rhinos? I have a few painted ones that I thought were trash and have been trying to figure out what I'm going to do with them since I don't have any space marine armies.

Hi!

Glad to see those old plastic rhinos will be used for something unique!

Finally back with some new updates coming. Been dealing with some cancer in the family and just now finally have some time to get back to the minis. It really is a stress reliever and meditate device to sit down and paint for a while. Anyways, finally some new toys...

I'm using this as a ravager chaos titan, but because IW rarely have demons in their forces I chose to use the standard warlord titan, as it looks very IW to begin with. Looks awesome along side my other forces.

more stuff to come very shortly!

Curious, I had thought about adding a blue glow to the left main gun (the TK weapon) thoughts??
