So for the last two decades I've played games workshop games and other board games, but somehow managed to never play Epic. Gasp, shock, horror!. Well this year a bunch of people in my area decided to revive the hobby and I find myself reinvigorated with the gamer spirit. SO I settled on IRON WARRIORS, and will be posting up the progress over the next few months right here, as well as on my personal hobby blog

http://volrathminis.wordpress.com/

I've got alot of stuff to find, so if you've got stuff for sale/trade/etc let me know =)

the first of my recent ebay bids....merry christmas to me!

The Grand Battery.....grand indeed

Also managed to get a good deal on 4 of these to use as an Ordinatus Medrengard. Dont need 4, but hey, I'll take what I can find

thanks, appreciate that. Ya im looking forward to finally starting an epic army. Going to try some new techniques with using the newer GW rust paints etc, and alot of washes. Originally I was planning on doing a nurgle force, but the draw of using Imperial artillery just couldnt be kept at bay. Just won a warlord on ebay, which I think is quite suitable looking for an IW conversion titat. Thinking ahead, i need troops first, but it was a great find for the price.

This is our newest recruit to the L.A. Epic group and a longtime buddy. Looking forward to having him join us and seeing what he does with his Iron Warriors.

Here is my first test rhino to get this started. Going for a more weathered/rusty look

So I got in a bunch of new parts for my latest conversions from Shapeways. Finally able to make some predators for the Iron mob. The sm rhino conversion was not all that hard, just alittle time consuming trimming and filing away the parts I needed to remove in order to make the turret parts work. Everything else fit like a glove!
