Hi all,
here's the thread.
The real work won't start until April 1st, barring cheating :P
Until then I'll probably dig out an impossible number of models or mess around trying to get some coherency to the theme. Due to my work load I am expecting to fail miserably, so I can only do better than my expectations or equal them :D :{[]

The only clear issue is that the line up will see Exodus Wars models as well as old GW stuff.

Excellent! As usual, I'm looking forward to seeing your work, Van.

Sigh, Apo is regrettably correct. I usually have very little time and tend to not take pics as I then tend to mess around with lighting and editing the brightness/contrast etc for still-poor results. I am NOT good at photography unless an aeroplane is stuck to the camera.

Still, I'll make an effort.

Dwarf and L-4 - thanks guys.
This time it's really war (i.e. war against not finding time to do stuff other than work :{[] )
(I LIKE that icon)
(this one :{[] :{[] )

Aha, i was wonder what to use as the chassi for cannons of khrone, and then you show pictures of ragnaroks ;D thanks for the idea :)

Also, that is not 'an impossible number of models', more! more!

Glad to be of unintentional help. Clear the stowed baggage on the sides, it's very un-khornate.

As regards impossible - you are not seeing the stuff in the boxes.......

16th March. 15 days to go. Will I even hold out until the start?
I will share my problems: there's these two boxes full of Epic Tyranids.....

**slightly later** ...and should I allow myself to ally Nids with the Imperium in the very fiendish but nifty way I had come up with some years back and tried out on a 40K force (one model constructed in total.....)? :{[]

Somewhere I have some 40k warriors I modified to pull an ork trukk chassis chariot style. They have some Mek tinkering with their heads.

That being said, unless they simply won't get done otherwise, I'd personally advise against it.

I know your thread title is imperials, but if your looking to include all those models my brain is screaming Dark Mechanicus

OR Option 2: Just be strong V and put the nids/orks back in the box until these other ones are finished.

I know, like I can talk... :P

Thanks L4, and more have been added :)
SPectrar Ghost - I know, have to be a bit constrained with what I do, but I can't help thinking of the C'Tan dragon hidden in Mars and the really interesting courses in feng shui and interior decoration he must be giving those tech adepts.
And this has given me another idea - suggested by Ortron's Dark Mechanicus proposal: a paler shade of dark?
But I think I will put the models back into the box. Most of them....

My plans for the TOEG.

Seeing the mess of models I'm considering, I'd better try to explain my approach - using a contrived background to help me out.

The Imperium has sent a massive force to suppress the chaos uprisings in the [CLASSIFIED] sector. On the way there a warp storm scattered the forces, a number of which managed to land on the suitably anonymous Planet 246X. This had been discovered by the Adeptus Mechanicu explorators some centuries back. The planet had a few scattered human towns guarded by a handful of Knights, ho had held there own against the feral ork tribes who had lived peacefully on the planet until the humans had arrived.
The arrival of the scattering of Imperial forces triggered some Orky interstellar psychic wave which led Waaagh Razzabazz in all its glory towards the planet.

The Imperial forces thus include:
An assortment of troops from the scattered fleet including:
Angels of Fire Space Marines
Red Giant Space Marines
Polar Warriors Space Marines
Inquisition forces in small numbers
Squat abhumans
Imperial guard armour
One fleet Thunderbolt

On the planet they found:
the knights of the House of the Rising Sun
at terrible experimental Ad Mech weapon, which the Inquisition was hesitant to destroy.

In other words, I will play merry hell with army composition, not to mention the 500 points! I will just have to paint at least 10 models a month. Seeing that they will all be vehicles, I should manage the requisit points. ;)
