Here's the host as it stands at the moment. I've undercoated the Banelord and I've sort of won a pair of unmade Beetlebacks on Ebay which I have earmarked for Tzeentch and Nurgle. Zappy Lascannon weapons and huge chemical rocket launchers of doom. I've also got enough painted for a 4000pt list. Oddly enough based around Tzeentch as while I have been mostly adding Khornate models the lack of the basic troops means I can't field a proper force for them. I don't yet own any Berzerkers or Bloodletters. The current plan is to make a large order in June for my birthday and to celebrate getting my OU course exam done.

Thanks everybody by the way.
Heres the new stuff.
Some Chaos Androids
Image
My Chaos Terminators also received paint

The Androids were painted Bone and Scab Red to both blend with my Word Bearers and not look too much like Necrons

Well got this months pledge detachment done. To be honest though what I've been doing is painting these mixed in with other Chaos Cavalry models on a plant label for handling as I've been going on with the project. So I did the Raptors as a bonus

I've also done some Flesh Hounds and Daemon Engines of Khorne.

As well as that I've painted some models for Nurgle.

Finally I've acquired my Chaos Artillery. (Dystoian Wars Burza and Marteau class Bombards I'll do scale shots when I get a round to it)

These need more Spikes. I've also got two on sprue warlord Titans sadly without weapons to make up.

Dystopian Wars is a great source for Epic stuff; it's all wonderfully baroque :)

Yes it definitely fits with the Chaos vibe. I've also got my eye on a few of the various flyers. I'm going for an Abnett inspired style of Chaos. I've also got to admit if it had infantry I'd've probably gone in for it as a replacement to 40k.

I've got a Kingdom of Brittania Illustrious Sky Fortress, purely for the Sky Captain vibe...

There's infantry now (since the Storm of Steel supplement), albeit as markers, not models (in scale 1:1200 they aren't really visible anyway). There are some token robots that would scale well to 6mm, though.

Dystopian Legions (their 28mm range) is expanding nicely, too, if painting infantry is your thing. Personally, I think the Blazing Sun Shinobi are far too cool to not acquire one day...

I have to admit I've just started painting the Prussian starter for Dystopian Legions. It's not so much that painting infantry is more my thing it's more the imagery of an absolutely massive army includes loads of infantry for tanks to crush and walkers to stomp until one plucky hero gets off the perfect shot right into it's voonerables. I'm probably going to do a full Prussian force eventually but I want to get this well of the ground first.

Took the force into it's first battle today and my first against Eldar. I took a Khorne List with a Bloodthirster 3 Cauldrons of Blood and 3 Brass Scorpions, 1 Fleshhound pack and 2 Juggernaught Packs, a Cultist Host, a Beastman Horde and a Daemon Horde with an allied Chaos Marine Company. In support trundled 2 Deathwheels. Facing me was a Defender Host, a Spirit Host and a Tempest Host along with some Bright Stallions 2 Harlequin bands and 2 Phantom titans. My lack of long range firepower rippled me as I had nothing to deal with the Phantoms and couldn't reach the Tempests. Bascally I provided a shooting gallery. My key mistake was in the list frankly I had too much close combat potential and not enough firepower. Fortunately the spikes and skulls I've been adding to my old Space Marine tanks should start to mitigate the problem as will the painting of my Chaos Cavalry. The other solution is to get the Banelord painted and fight fire with fire.

Cheers one of the nice things about epic is it really rewards an army painting style and allows you to create huge forces and in this case the whole is definitely greater than the sum of its parts.

My plan to fight fire with fire begins with this guy.

Bodged around an Ork warbike with the gun middle as a torso. Sprue and plasticard was used to creat the shoulders as well as a Chaos Knight Standard Head. The flame turrets are from historical models. I then gave the shoulders weapons using an Ork Soopa Kannon I think and a pit slave snipper arm. Various details include a grey knight reliquary and Plague Priest Scroll tassels.

I'm currently capitating my Chaos Artillery as well as making some traitor Mammoth tanks based around T26's
