Anyone up for a TOEG gaming meet-up?

I'd suggest mid-lat February, somewhere in the UK (Maelstrom Games is probably the most convinient place).

Depending on interest level it could even be a mini tournament with some prizes.

It'd be an opportunity to bring along your TOEG army and have some games.

As I'm destined to fail meeting up with an unfinished army lacks much apeal! Plus Feb/Mar has 2 tournaments that I'm probably going to attend so another weekend isn't going to happen

Dave: You painted like 2 models, heh. :-)

elsmore: London could also be good, if anyone knows of a good venue? (Maybe Tanelorn?)

I have a VW Sharan (I have triplet daughters) for my tribe so would be up for driving it others wanted to chip in for diesel. London would be easiest for me also as I am in Hampshire. During the summer would be good? :)

I think I'd be up for it if only to put names to faces and give me the impetus to finish off the last of my army, really must get some refresher games in first though, it's been years since I last played

Guildford would be a perfect location for southern tournaments and events, I think.

Aye Reading during term time, Surrey during (most) holiday time :)

Broadly up for a meet up if its somewhere i can get to easily, but would all depend how busy i was with uni projects nearer the time ...and i would need to actually finish an army :P

Why do I feel I'm being stitched up to put on an event here?
Why was I reading this board in the first place when I'm not in the ToEG?
And Why haven't I run away and hidden just yet??

Those questions remaining unanswered for the moment, I believe there's an apocolypse event being run by the 40K players of the Guildford club early in the new year sometime. I'll throw some emails about and see if something could be set up alongside that.

As for monday nights, its 7:30 - 11pm, and I often dont make it until 8 myself, so it shouldn't be a problem. So long as you bring your lovely Exodites!!! ;)

I'm Always happy to look at people's painting / modelling & having judged numerous painting events in the past, people will tell you I am a stingy git, but always impartial in such things - happy to be of service if I can be :)

Another option - would Aldershot be any good for people? Its heading out of london that bit further, but I know the owner of the Aldershot Games Shop well & he's got the space and scenery for any event. Its not quite the size of the Park Barn Center, but its where we held the Seeds of War mega-game on a 24 x 4 foot table and there was still space for other games around us :)

Finally - I follow all the threads, but dont post enough - so to all ToeG'ers - keep it up - loving seeing it all!

Bit of a non-updates I'm afraid - No replies from the club guys just yet. Think Ed's been away for festivities and the others know nothing without conferring!

The Midlands is a bit of a trek, but Guildford would suit me down to the ground. :)
