Welcome to my TOEG 2013! After doing Ulthwé Eldar last year, and after a break while the house got renovated, I think it's about time I kicked things off again. I'm doing Nids this time.

Hive Fleet Scorpio

Imperial xenologists have identified Hive Fleet Scorpio as an offshoot of Hive Fleet Kraken, but one which seems to have split from the main fleet a long time ago. Scorpio's creatures were first encountered in the rainforests of Galus, and are characterised by their green colouring to blend into foliage, and a strong preference for close combat with very few of the Tyranid artillery bio-constructs observed among them. Initially they seemed to be confined to Galus, but since Imperial explorator ships arrived there, there have been sightings of Genestealer vanguards belonging to Scorpio on other planets in the region, largely along the routes of those ships...

Good to see another non-standard colour scheme. Paint your jungles in the same colours and the camo will be even better.

Will follow this (and all other Tyranid threads) with interest.

I like the use of the bike base.

The brush stokes on your paper look suspiciously neat, mine looks like i'm deliberately trying to ruin brushes :D

@Apoc: The Dominatrix came on that base, it works well though.

If anyone's interested, the colour scheme is as follows:
Spray white
Coat of Knarloc Green
Bone plates and weapons in Dheneb Stone
Thraka Green wash on flesh
Devlan Mud wash on bony bits
Khemri Brown bases, with fine flock and GW's grass tufts

They are coming out very well. I like to see bone-colored plates on the nids. Always gives them an organic look.

MR cheesy i always love your stuff, this is coming along nicely... i feel the dominatrix is missing something... perhaps purple veins or something i don't know, or maybe yellow somewhere in there. For such a big model i feel it needs a little more attention.
