I just realised how good these are - especially the infantry! Very smooth with a fantastic level of shading. :)

your blog is truly inspirational! I love your eldar a great deal, from a gaming POV, it's never a great idea to make your autarch a dire avenger as he comes with an extra CC attack rather than FF, however that doesn't matter a jot when it all looks as good as yours! :)

Yes, I have since found this out. Also, Dire Avengers don't have the best save. I'm not overly concerned about this as I aren't bothered about fielding an optimised list. Maybe someday I will paint up a new Autarch in a different Aspect unit.

I'm glad you liked the paint job though :)

you should bring it to an EUK tournament sometime.... I think the 'best painted' award would be in the bag...... :)

Thanks for all of the supportive comments. I'm pleased you like my work.

I have finished painting four stands of nobz giving me my first legal formation for my ork army (Da Killin' Moonz). Well, I say finished, I have left the banners black at this stage because I haven't decided exactly what to do with them. I was planning on applying some decals but the decals I have are very old and will not come off the sheet. Have other people experienced this problem? I think I might buy some of the new Forge World ork decals to replace them. Does anyone know if any of the decals on the sheet are the correct size for Epic?

Anyway, here are the models:

And finally, my complete submission for May:

This gives me:

A Big Mob (350)
+4 Dreadnoughts (140)

Total 490.

I plan on adding some flak to this detachment but that will have to wait until next month now. I'll post pics as soon as they are done.

Bigger pictures on my blog.

All the best,
Andy.

Very nice knobs mate. I like the double size banner idea for the boss.

Thanks for the comments, guys.

Against earlier expectations I actually managed to get my Flak Gunz painted today. I wanted to include some AA fire but I didn't particularly like the idea of including vehicles in an all infantry formation. Fortunately Forge World sells these mounted Flak Gunz which fulfill the role perfectly. In a game I will simply count them as Flak Wagonz.

That's another 70 points for May bringing me over the 500 mark.

Well, it's getting towards that time of time of the month again. Here is my submission for June so far: a Kult of Speed and a Blitz Brigade. Together these come to 350 points. I plan on painting up another Blitz Brigade this week in order to bring my total above 500 points. We'll just have to wait and see how that goes but I'm fairly confident I will have enough time.

Anyway, on to the pictures:

Really nice looking Orks.

Like the softer 'pastel' yellows and blues on the Bad Moonz, really gives a sense of scale optically from gaming distances and look good on Epic miniatures.

Very Nice work !!!! Image BTW - Try eBay ... I've got some of the old Ork Decals of all types. Some of 40K Ork bike sheets and such have some very nice small decals as well ... ImageImageImageImage
