Hi, all! Although I've yet to play a game of Epic, I really enjoy painting up the figures and thought I'd join in the fun. Hopefully I'll be able to hook up with the group of gamers up in MD sometime for a few games. Anyway, I'll be doing codex marines and painting them up as my 40k custom chapter, the Knights Obsidian. Feedback is welcomed!

First, I have my unit of landspeeders:

And to round out my 500 point goal (well, mostly) I have a formation of predators:

That look like a great start, very effective colours.

Thanks for the comments, guys. I'm glad you like the scheme! Since I've had some extra time this week, I went ahead and did up my next unit: a tactical unit in drop pods. I plan on painting rhinos as well, just haven't gotten around to it yet. I decided to do all my character upgrades on the small circular bases so I can move them around from game to game. This is actually my termie captain; I have some others in power armor I plan on doing up.

Very nice basing - and the scheme works well.

Those miniatures are incredibly detailed, as well as expertly painted. Are the GW sculpts??

Thanks, Matus. It's actually a mix of different stuff. The dread is a very old Grandma Wendy plastic, (which very awesomely looks like a contemptor pattern from FW...) the drop pod is the current SG sculpt, and the infantry are some custom ones I came across. Take a look around the 6mm board for blue werewolf.
