Since I'm pretty bad at about getting stuff finished, I'm going to join in on this. My first selection is going to be finishing up my Raptor's Chapter of Codex Space Marines, which is just shy of 15k points. Unfortunately, about a third of that is still unpainted, so I'll be doing my best to get them finished up. Once that's done, I'll move onto something else! (Apologies for the low quality of my pictures, all I have is my cell phone.) ![]() Terminators, Bikes, Scouts, and Assault Marines Tacticals, Dreadnoughts, Devastators, and Rhinos The motor pool. Least painted section in the drawer, sadly. Air Support! |

I like the fact you've been so creative with all your plasitc rhino's! Could you get us a few closer pictures of the thunderhawks, landing craft, and tank conversions? Really nice work I reckon! |

Hunter and Razorback: Both very simple conversions, the Hunter was inspired by a post I saw on these boards, and it's just a Whirlwind with the turret removed and a single missile pack in its place. Quick and easy, and looks different than the Whirlwinds. The Razorback is an Exodus Wars twin-laser turret glued on the back of a Rhino. Vindicator and Predators: Vindicators were converted with plasticard, which was relatively painless. The predators took more effort. The Heavy Bolter sponsons on the Destructor I'm fairly happy with, although I haven't made the lascannon sponsons for the Annihilators yet. My main goal at the time was to finish my chaos Predators, which is why I only have TL Lascannon turrets and HB Sponsons. I'm not happy with the turrets though, as I was hunting for something which would be easy to replicate en-masse, and so I was trying to keep it simple. Now that I've figured out how to do resin casting though, I might be able to make some better turrets. Thunderhawk: These were actually the first scratchbuild I ever did. The components don't really line up properly (easily seen in the front view) but I'm still fairly happy with how they turned out. My intent was simply to get some air capability, and they've served their purpose just fine. Landing Craft: I didn't want to spend the ridiculous amount of money it takes to get one from SG, and I didn't like the layout of the original either (the predator turrets especially.) This was my first attempt at modifying the design of something as I scratchbuilt it. Like the Thunderhawk, a front view shows the lack of symmetry. On the other hand, getting three Landing Craft (no matter how unsymmetrical) for a couple bucks in plasticard sure beats the $183 it would take from GW. My Space-Marine playing friend has made me regret my construction of these guys a little bit, as having three loaded with Devastators and Land Raiders drop into my lines leads to an... interesting fight. |
