Here we go again. The Squats stalled on the final sprint (8570 out of 10095 total points / 186 out of 192 models completed during ToEG 2011). I will still try to finish the last few models "on the side" but the focus for ToEG 2012 will be the Eldar. I am going to use a colour scheme matching my old 40k tournament army: http://web.archive.org/web/200405070256 ... odels2.htm and my Battlefleet Gothic Eldar fleet: http://wargamingworkshop.wordpress.com/ ... dar-fleet/ The army is similar size to the Squats and comes in at 11675 points (236 models): Command 1 Avatar 1 Autarch Aspect Warriors 8 Dark Reaper (with 2 Exarch) 8 Dire Avenger (with 2 Exarch) 8 Fire Dragon (with 2 Exarch) 8 Howling Banshee (with 2 Exarch) 8 Shining Spear (with 2 Exarch) 8 Striking Scorption (with 2 Exarch) 8 Swooping Hawk (with 2 Exarch) 8 Warp Spider (with 2 Exarch) Guardian Hosts 5 Farseer 30 Guardians 9 Heavy Weapon Platforms 6 Support Platforms 6 Wraithguard 3 Wraithlord Grav Tanks 12 Falcon 3 Firestorm 8 Wave Serpent 3 Fireprism 6 Nightspinner Engines of Vaul 2 Cobra 2 Scorpion 2 Storm Serpent 2 Void Spinner Jetbikes 18 Jetbike 7 Vyper Other 12 Ranger 12 Warwalker 2 Objectives 1 Wraithgate Titans 1 Warlock Titan 1 Phantom Titan 2 Revenant Titan Aircraft 3 Nightwing Interceptor 3 Phoenix Bomber 2 Vampire As always, red is unfinished, green is painted. |

Helge=- had a look at your W40K and BFG figures on the links. They were very nice indeed- can't wait to see Epic figures painted to that paint scheme to such a high standard. Will be great to have the same Craftworld in all 3 gaming systems- great stuff- I would love to do the same some time. I might do Eldar for TOEG so I looked over your list with interest. I noticed you only have 8 Wave Serpents- that would be just 2 formations- is that abit light for such a large army (or even for 3k points)? Also what are you going to do for Exarchs? I am struggling because there is only 1 Exarch figure for Epic Eldar- I wish SG had done an Eldar characters in the same way they did for SM/IG/Orks. Cheers James |

Actually they did WI. You get one of each Exarch in the Avatar pack as Court of the Young King. Looking forward as ever to your TOEG, Helge. |

Thanks Dobbsy- looks like I will have to buy several COTY and sell off the spare Avatars. |

Re: Wave Serpents No idea if 8 is enough. I haven't actually played a game of Epic Armageddon yet (with this army or any other... ever...). ![]() Re: Exarch I got one model per type from the Court of the Young King/Avatar blister (needed one anyhow). For the second I did some conversions (e.g. old plastic exarch for Swooping Hawks, plastic exarch with wings removed for Dark Reapers, old plastic Harlequin for Striking Scorpions, etc.). The Fire Dragon and Dire Avenger blister comes with two Exarch models per type. |

I was really impressed with your Necrons, so looking forward to seeing what you do with Eldar ![]() |

Oh, yes. I completely forgot the silver killer robots. I guess that was a successful mini-ToEG. 8350 points (125 models) in two months... I hope that the Eldar will be closer to the Necron than the Squats in terms of timeline (and motivation). In a fit of productivity I managed all clean-up, basing and modifications yesterday (e.g. drilling out engines, etc.). Onwards to the painting table! |

Let's start with some core infantry: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The photo is a bit dim and I can't brighten in up too much (or I lose the helmets). Real models are more vibrant purple for the bodies. |

![]() My "wraithbone" structures (like these Wraithguard) will have an inverted scheme of bone with purple accents. Warwalker and Wraithlords are next. |

Absolutely wonderful stuff! Can i ask, how do you do the bases to hide the flat part of the epic models? Or do you chop them off at the feet and glue them that way? |
