Cybershadow directed me here to try and help me get back into epic by having a target to aim for.

I have recently ordered Tyranids off a fellow member here - so I think I will concentrate on those. Especially as I've never had any before.

Only thing is I dont know when they will start arriving, and also limits my expansion as i will need to track down more figures.

However, it should force me to get another epic army fully ready to use and i look forward to the challenge.

Is there anything stopping me posting [ToEG 2012] MikeT finishes off all his unpainted armies? I've got multiple armies in various states of not-readiness and don't really wanna choose just one of them.

This is obviously a rhetorical question, as I'm off to post it anyway.

Does nt blur the boundaries between TOEG and simple Blog Posts?

I have decided to do Space Marines and titans, but at least I can justify that with Titans as coming out of the % for Allies and thus counting towards the army overall. Similarly Vanvlak has IIRC come u with a narrative explanation for the various forces he will be working on.

I would suggest doing something similar so that you can work on 2-3 of your armies. But it's Apocolocyntosis's call.

Personally im inclined to keep TOEG pretty targeted in scope, with structured objectives. That said, the range of projects has been opened up a bit through discusion earlier in this thread (historicals etc) with the aim of maximising participation.

If you can keep the aim distinct enough to make it TOEG rather than a generic plog go for it. So, if April is Ork month, June is Chaos month etc then that sounds workable, if it will just be 500 points of 'stuff' a month id be more hesitant.

I've always taken it as a way to encourage epic gamers (gamers you play epic a) to paint stuff... no matter what.

I'm sure one of my failures was a 10mm Greek army... I got precisely 4 stands painted

Nearing the end of the first month now, lot of great stuff painted and also a few people who have yet to post anything painted – PAINT!

Once we're in June i'll work out a month points total for everything painted across all logs for TOEG12 month 1 and also sort the list at the start of this thread to show which logs are 'active'.

April Overview

18 230* points combined painted across the 18 'active' logs:
 160 stands of infantry
 61 light vehicles
 59 armoured vehicles
 79 DC of war engines
 5 flyers

Above stats taken from the 18 logs that had posted painted units up by midday 2nd May, not counting any logs only showing test minis.

Most points painted: Helge ~30% of total
Most units painted: Helge

* Test minis were not counted. Where given, the log owner's stated point total was used – otherwise this was estimated using NetEA compendium points values of what was on show, converting any NetEpic or E40k units into NetEA points costs.
