the model is actually kinda a pain in the ass, because its not symetrical, even the bits that should be (like the two back struts where i placed the sweeping wings, are at different angles from the main body) but its a real nice model when looked at from tabletop distance anyway, about 4 months late, but here it is, the first model to be painted, the test STeG4 and now off to the cinema! yah, i'm a fan too once again dave taylor lights the way! anyway, a quick shot tonight, of my current WIP all those uneven surfaces really make that a pain to do still, its looking pretty good (or atleast, it looks pretty good from a high angle from about two or three feet away...) next stage will be the viewports and weaponry, maybe a little more brownlining over the star bits. Neat! Are you freehanding the non-ordered logo, or masking and spraying? |

thanks guys, i'm pretty happy with how they're looking, but am really worried about how to get the smaller tanks to look right otter: they're all freehanded. masking+spraying would make much too much bleeding (teehee) around the edges givn how many raises and dips the surface has. i do have a series of cut out circles (with the centres cut out, and lines across the 8 points) to use as a sort of guide (especially when you need to follow the curve at right angles like the sides of the STeGs) |

Well, i've been largely otherwise occupied the past month, but i did get some painting done (but not quite in time for the new year) dodgy photos, cause they where taken real quick under harsh light, but still, here goes Death Brigade. you cant really tell numbers here, but thats 70 infantrymen (including 20 heavy flamers) and 4 sniper teams sniper team models (one sniper, one spotter per team) and heres a test-preview of the next part, the blood mages. still not sold on the colour of the flesh, i was planning it to be a red colour, like a mask, but that looked a bit odd. more tests to come WWTBGD? |
