you cant tell very clearly but the basic infantry and rocket launchers are all wearing silver grotesques, the sarges are all wearing bronze ones, and the commanders are both wearing gold

and the fire support

i'm considering doing up lenses for the binoculars and the cannon scopes, but havent decided on that yet

so, thats 167 more guys done. next up is gonna be tanks, transports, or daemons

Told you I'd check the Bondsmen out, and very glad I did
These are very sweet - it was great to meet you today and put a face to the name
Congratulations on winning the tournament and Cancon...well we'll see about that....
If Dave gets this Tyranid list closed (with Genestealers worthy of the name!) and my 30th birthday plans fall awry...
Well, who knows!
LOL!

;D

Actually these are awesome man-great work! I really need to get off my duff and get my ToEG thread going but with another kid due next month painting time is few and far between for this old man.

Out of curiosity how'd you paint your chaos symbol on the tanks?

Did you add the grotesques to the troopers or just paint them on?

yeah, the grotesques are just painted on. they look sufficiently maskish that they didnt need added work (cept the gore mages obviously) though i will have to make one for the warlord model when i get to him

as to the chaos stars. i punched out a bunch of different sized circles out of paper, marked out the 8 points on them which gave me a rough guide that i can fold or bend to place on the tank where needed. then i used Menoth White Base to paint the thin circle and the spokes, then i expanded them to the right shape, then gave it all a going over with Menoth White Highlight (both paints from the privateer press p3 range if you're not familiar with them) and once that was dry, they got a light brown wash (watered down woodland scenics umber wash i believe, but it might have been ogryn flesh or gryphonne sepia, i wrote it down in my little BFTBG book but i dont have it at hand to check)
