Originally i had planned to do Flesh Tearers for this (using EpicUK blood angel list) but ended up deciding to take them to britcon so did then over the space of 3 weeks for the tourney. So the choice boiled down to nids, emperors children, tau or vanaheim - and I've gone for the air-cav as I'm not sure which list to use for the nids (and haven't got all the models), fed up of doing chaos armies for the moment and don't have any fire warrior proxies yet. The eventual list will, probably, be this- Regimental HQ - SC, 9 troopers, 3 valkyries, 2 vendettas 500 Air Cav Co - Commander, 9 troopers, 3 Valkyries, 2 vendettas 400 Air Cav Co - Commander, 9 troopers, 3 Valkyries, 2 vendettas 400 Air Cav Co - Commander, 9 troopers, 3 valkyries, 2 vendettas 400 Vultures - 4 vultures 300 Vultures - 4 vultures 300 Sentinels - 2 Sentinels 2 melta sentinels 125 Sentinels - 2 Sentinels 2 melta sentinels 125 thunderbolts - 2 thunderbolts 150 thunderbolts - 2 thunderbolts 150 Lightnings - 2 Lightnings 150 Alternatively I might drop 1 of the aircraft formations or sub out 1 of the vultures for stormtroopers. Model-wise I have all the vultures+valkyries, sentinels, flyers but need to settle on a conversion for the vendettas. Infantry I'll be using catachans mixed with DRM (which need to be ordered) and hopefully trying a jungle base scheme - green base with long grass, bushes and some brass palm fronds I've obtained. 1st tasks Order DRM infantry bend every single one of the FW vultures+valkyries left wings which are all straight rather than kinked |

DRM infantry has arrived - jungle troops to be mixed with catachans for infantry troopers, special forces for stormtroopers. Lightnings+objectives have been ordered from FW, sentinels are on their way across the atlantic from Dave. Finally all 23 valkyries have now been put in hot water and the wings bent as 22 of them had straight left wings. Now I'm going to assemble them and settle on a paint scheme. |
