I find myself in a tiny pickle at the moment. I wants to paint my Space Marines, but there are so many, and I've basically half-painted all of them.

So I'm going to undertake finishing the Ice Lords, the Stone Hearts and the Steel Dogs. Since all of the armies are various degrees of painted already, this shouldn't be too much trouble, even with a crosscountry move and law school.

I look forward to my ironic comeuppance for those words.

That said, let's look at the various armies:

The Ice Lords are a more or less typical Codex Marine force, painted in light blue with a bit of white. They're mostly painted - I need to do details, finish the washes I've been using to add a little depth and cover up the fact that there are two colors of light blue in use, and base them (in an arctic scheme, shockingly enough). They're basically half a Battle Company with some Terminators and tanks, thus representing the Chapter's First Company.

The Stone Hearts are eventually going to be the retinue for Rogue Trader Tyria Cathek (though at the moment only the Stone Hearts are under construction). They're painted in a lovely dark green with grey, and have been turning out fairly well - I'm much better/less worse at painting dark colors. They're a Battle Company with some Thunderhawks and tanks. Most of the line troops are painted, but the Thunderhawks, many of the tanks, and the Bikes/Speeders remain.

The Steel Dogs are going to be finished if there's time - they were the first army I painted, and didn't work out as well as I'd hoped (I washed them with black, and it didn't work as well as it could have). They're in a nice light green, which can be hard to notice on some of the poorer models. :(

Anyway, hopefully I'll get some pictures up in the next few days. And perhaps even (*gasp*) paint something this weekend.
