Unlike many others who have plans of what they will do each month, I just have a bunch of minis to paint and an attention span that will allow me to do whatever whenever. Due to this, I will list what I have to paint and the grouping they will be done in. Apart from that, I cannot guarantee what group will be done on what months (other than what I am working on now - so this month is taken). August Group 1: Bloodpack (5 Berserkers + 3 Slaughterfiends) + 2 Slaughterfiends - 550 points Other Months Group 2: World Eater Terminator Retinue (6-8 Terminator Bases) + 2x Daemon Princes + 1x Bloodlord - 600-850 points Group 3: Khorne Support Engines x8 (Doom Blasterx4 and Cannons of Khornex4) - 600 points Group 4: 1x Possessed formation and 1x Chosen formation + Keeper of Skulls - 500 points Group 5: Juggernauts of Khorne x8 + Keeper of Chains + 3x Dreadclaws - 500 points Group 6: Berserkers x8 + Bike Retinue (6 bikes) - 525 points All the above (being 6 months worth) will give me a lot of satisfaction knowing it has been done. |

If you have taken notice of the most recent World Eater's List (v3.4) *hears crickets singing* you will have noticed that the World Eaters Berserker Retinue is made up of World Eater Legionaires and Khorne Berserkers. After I finished painting 24 bases of Berserkers, I started to wonder how I would represent these differently. I came up with two solutions that did not mean painting the base a different colour or using opther miniatures: - Base the different models 4 to a base - Paint the new models 2 tones (Red upper and Black Lower) I am unsure what the new models with represent at this time (Berserkers or World Eaters Legionairres), however I have now started them and they are well on the way to being finished before the week ends. For now I am doing 5 bases worth to count towards the Bloodpack. Here is a sneak shot... As for the basing, I have had to turn to 'Mr Butcher' to assist: Which resulted in this (obviously I got better with later bases and then went back to clean this one up): The distance before basing is now acceptable |

All to aware, haven't worked out what to do with my 24 stands of painted berserkers yet either to match the change ![]() Looking forward to it, especially the possessed ![]() |

As I mentioned before, my attention span can waver. Evidence of this is that yesterday I began to think about the bikes. I want to place them on strip bases, however the holes were getting in the way. To rectify this, I took out a CD cover: I then introduced that CD cover to Harry the Hammer. The CD case did not make a good impression: The Bases were then treated to bids of the CD case as below: Which then allowed me to base the bikes as I wanted: Next update should be of the finished Bloodpack troops and the start of the Slaughterfiends. |

Maybe even a Khorne symbol! ![]() |

I do like those bikers! Where did you get them, or did you make them yourself? Also, what's the difference between Beserkers and WE Beserkers? I understood from the background that all the WE are Beserkers, even though not all Beserkers are WE! |

Yes, they are a home job... say no more ![]() Quote: Also, what's the difference between Beserkers and WE Beserkers? I understood from the background that all the WE are Beserkers, even though not all Beserkers are WE! There is an issue with taking an all Fearless formation. So we made World Eater Legionaires and Khorne Berserklers. The Khorne Berserkers are representative of those Legionaires or others that have gone that one step beyond, while the Legionaires still retain their battle prowess and sense of strategy. Cheers... |

Bases...uhmm...wouldn't it be much simpler to glue the bikes on the other side of the base...the side without holes? |

Or push some Milliput into the holes, or snap some bases out of plasticard, or cover the holes with electrical tape... I think smashing up the CD case must be the most labour-intensive solution really! ![]() |

Stess relief = good thing. Smashing stuff is a great way to relieve stress. Hitting stuff with a hammer is always win. |
