Decided to get some painting done rather than finish the worm this weekend, as otherwise id be liable to just get distracted by worms, zeppelins etc ...

So 3 Chaos Squat Detachment formations including Zharr SC upgrade, freshly dullcoated. Just need to splash some gloss on the lava and that's 650 points.

EW buggys and trikes have been obtained for use as road warrior formations. Also considering using 'Khazari Engineer w/Plasma Rifle ' components as the annihilation heavy weapon stands. And after a week i noticed that the place i had ordered my grundback (Rezahk proxies)from had them listed as out of stock, so they have been re-ordered

Finished off the mineral deposit objective, next 2 will be a bit less dull hopefully (ammo dump and escaped slaves)

The squats look great! The lava bases really bring a WFB "Big Hat" feel to your little angry guys.

Where did you pick up the silicon carbide for the objective? I can see that stuff also being great for a number of 28mm bases ('crons, Skaven, etc).

Just off my desk im afraid, i have a lump i use as a paperweight for receipts Got it in a rock/minerals/crystals/fossils type shop as a kid but i don't know where.

I was also considering using bismuth crystals, which look awesome but are far too expensive to use for basing.

Hmm well i was meant to paint these in September...but the minis were so nice and i felt like painting..and technically its only 50 points worth, so i painted some road warrior buggys and 2 road priest upgrades.
