I seem to recall Tale Of Epic Gamers started 1st August last year, although i can't seem to locate the master thread for it.

August 2010 is a bit over a week away...so anyone up for a TOEG 2010 along the same lines? 500 pts a month for 5 or 6 months again?

I think AxelFendersson and MoK were the only one to actually finish an army last year, but I had fun even if I didn't finish an army myself ;D

What is TOEG?
For anyone new to the forum, Tale of Epic Gamers follows a similar format to that of the old WD articles and numerous similar schemes on other war gaming forums. Participants aim to paint 500 points or more of epic (or equivalent for NetEpic/E:40k) a month and post their results in the Epic 6mm forum. With 500 points a month you get a complete tournament size army after 5 to 6 months or so

As an example from last year, here is AxelFendersson's ToEG09 thread from last year (not picking on you, just i can only find 3 of the ToEG09 threads and yours is the only finsihed one ;D )

Damn, I hoped you had updated your chaos thread when I saw your name in the forum overview :)

I'm up for 500 pts per month starting August. I'll be painting Squats (well more Squats).

I've already painted 10 units, but I'd love to paint my Orks as part of the ToeG 2010.

Will definitely finish it within the next six months... assuming I can sculpt fast enough! :D

This is just what I need to get my eldars under way ! I also have lots of marines to finish certainly enough for a TOEG, but I don't think I'll be able to show them.

I'll try to get 500 Points of eldar painted each month, starting in August.

hey! I managed to get all of my tyranids done: 3000pts were finished in a few weeks actually and I had to keep it all under my hat!!!!

I'm back come october and want an excuse to repaint my imperial guard: I might be tempted!

That was a fast response, this should be good :)

Think i might do some vanilla (boring/non-converted, not vanilla coloured ) AMTL as at least i might manage to paint 1 titan a month for 500pts
...or maybe necrons...or SOB...or orks or eldar or squats or IG or more chaos...hmmm :-\

Khorne is crying out for his children to be painted first.

Then I will probably pit Slaanesh, Necron, Chaos Squats and Tyranids against each other in a Royal Rumble to see who gets the chance to be painted up next.... :D

In the midst of my glorious collections of unfinished projects are the remains of the 2 forces I had in the past started for the ToEG - Eldar and Squatachans. I never made it to the last month, but in both cases the first 2 months of activity yielded good results - for me, at any rate. So I'll try again.
