Hey

Love this thread. "Epic" Ork collection and I love your Chaos conversions.

And great to hear from two more ebay fans. Its a slow and ££££ way of doing it but when you get your bargins its worth it.

Still working on my time machine to take me back to a little shop that was half record shop and half model shop. This was in 1995 era. They were selling epic sets really cheap. Of course then I had no cash to buy them. Will let you know when its completed.

Llamahead, I agree the best way to get Chaos stuff is the current GW sprues. Even if they are £15.00 a pop.

And thanks for the railing idear !

It saddens me when you see items on eBay that still have the original price tags on them and how much people are asking for the items now :(

Eh I find the prices on GW website worse. I always reckon junk lots are the way to go on Ebay especially for Orks the most important thing is not to get lured into a bidding war by starting with your top bid.

All hail the mighty M'utt'l'ey Greater Daemon of Khorne

The resemblance is definitely there isn't it.

I've also bodged together a Silver Tower. Rawl Plug and Glue Lid mostly. The idea that the Beam of Power is represented by a fiery eye is totally and utterly original.

And yes my sculpting is poor. Should look ok painted.

Some very nice work there. I like the use of the fence top points. Very good idea. Image

It's my first Deathwheel. I've deliberately given it undivided iconography the runes are in the colours of all four powers. This is as I'll be using it in armies dedicated to any of them. Thats why all my basic troops are in the Word Bearers scheme with elite god troops painted as Word Bearers using that god's colours for details. It'll keep the army looking relatively uniform and allow me the most flexibility in picking lists. I've used the same approach with my Orks and it's worked rather well.

Thats the stuff a decent model railway shop in the UK will usually stock their products as well as cheaper glue and better basing stuff than GW. That doesn't help you in Budapest at all. http://www.gaugemaster.com/search_results.asp?searchstring=fences%20brand~~581~~brand%20%20scale~~%ACoo%AC~~scale%20category~~1229~~category

This critter is a familar of Tzeenth the original plan was to use it as a Lord of Change but it's too small for that. It'll make a nice Daemon Prine or Magus however!

So for the end of March I got the second Deathwheel done. This gives me a month of Super Heavy/ Giant Monster goodness.

Today for the beginning of April I've got a Land Raider Squadron done. I'm also going to be finishing off a Daemon Horde fairly quickly. I've also been bodging together more Daemon Engines with another two Brass Scorpions.

I've also got a pair of Death Dealers done. Most of the weapons come frome Aoshima 1/700 Light and Heavy Ordnance sets. Well worth the money for a project like this, as they are the right scale and plastic.
