And then the sun went in so I had to switch to using flash photography...

And some extra modularity for when I need Artillery and AA that can move:

(Magnetised)

So...after 3.5 months I've managed 2125pts of stuff...which is on target for the 500pts TOEG Challenge but I I need to almost double my painting efforts if I want to meet my own target.

Got some Roughriders that need basing next :-)

EDIT: Oh...I forgot to add in the cost of Gorgons! That's another 175pts :-)

Bombards (has anyone else got resin copies of this that seem to have lost details at the front?)

Damn things were always a PITA to cast. I hear they're changing over to metal. :)

Utterly delicious, I couldn't tell that they were flawed castings in fact.

I've got some of the resin bombards (see here) not great pics but how do they compare?

looking really good so far Ryan, excited to see the whole lot together :) I'm a total convert to the exodus wars minis, have you got any with greatcoats from the heavy weapons sprue? they look like they'd make perfect Kreig proxies for those of us who can't stretch to an army of frenchmen ;)

Yeah, it's just that undercut is all but it's not such a biggie :-)

I've got the heavy weapons sprue yes, the greatcoated infantry are just as good as the standard Royal Empire dudes but I actually prefer mine non-coated these days as the army is meant to be able represent several different forces: and I haven't seen any one else with a fully EW Royal Empire Infantry force yet so it feels a little special :-)

Once the project is done there will be approximately 10000pts worth of assorted imperial guard of all varieties ready to be turned into any number of armies from any number of lists :-) (8 from what last counted...).

Very nice MoK, they feel really dirty! What do you use for your grass on your bases?

I finished painting up my first company of the EW royal empire models last night and I might well be the second person with a fully EW infantry army..... I love the sculpts so much I may have to relegate my cadians to actual cadians.... the only thing stopping me is an intense hatred of painting infantry, having painted so damn much of it this week!

Thanks all!

I'm still searching for the flock recipe but can't seem to find it: I ended up keeping everything in unmarked baggies!

Anyway, here's a small bit of progress with a test aircraft: 75pts I seem to recall butgot another two mauraders and the second Lightning to come soon :)

Thanks ToS! unfortunately looking at my diary and cash flow I think it's unlikely me and these lot will be at Manchester: I might have to just wait until the GT to bring them out to play.

I've got some time to do a bit more painting soon so should be able to post an update :-)
