Looks good.

But isn't "evil" and "communist" used to describe these a bit redundant? Its like saying "evil evil" or "communist communist"

Also, are Tau really all that evil?

They were suspected of secretly undertaking genocide on Kronus in DoW: Dark Crusade (if they win). Part of an attempt I think on GW's part to make sure everyone is as gritty and morally suspect as the rest of the factions, something I think gives them more flavor and fits nicely in that nietzschen feel of the 40k universe.

He he, if only I had Photoshop I'd be all over some sort of parade photo, shame they don't use something akin to deathstrikes. Broadsides maybe?

As for the title, cryptic was required due to the origins of the force. I chose to say communists because it fits their background, I also thought L4 would like it. Evil is up to interpretation, if they were so goody goody, why attack Imperial colonies? The greater good doesn't seem nearly enough to me. They're as grey as the rest of the 'good' guys in my eyes. I'm also sure I read that they also sterilised populations over time (or was that just stargate?)
It also rolled off my tongue at the time.

Glad folks like the new style red, will crack on with the next batch.

Well, honestly they have changed a bit from their original...origins, when I first got into the Tau (right when they were first released).

I don't care one way or the other if they are good or evil now. Its 40K, everyone is evil to an extent, its just that the truly evil races don't lie about it.

No not silver. Silver would ruin the whole "high tech" paint approach. My vote goes for white unit markings, "Tau style". That should be enough. Or highlight the grey oune level up

I like em as they are. Very nice.

Black, grey, and red. The three color standard has been met. If too many colors are used it will start looking 'busy'.

The addition of green for sensors sets everything off nicely.
