Regarding the obelisk corners, I ordered a set in Alumide from Shapeways. The intent is to file them smooth, then see if the casters can use them in a master mold.

Thanks Blind! If you're interested the static grass I'm using is Granny Wendy's dead grass.

Appreciate it, it's only fitting that necrons kill everything including the grass!!

Yup exactly... I nearly went with burnt grass but I liked the colour of the dead grass more.

That is cool news! Hope it works!

Well some small progress has been made here, might even be finished by Wednesday as I have a game to play.

So I've tried to ruin another perfectly good model with my average sculpting skills...

Even tried out that fancy new liquid green stuff to repair the rot on the scythe

Hope folk like it!

...and he's finished.

The last WIP pic of him showing how I used liquid green stuff to smooth out and alter the robes wrapped round his torso.

I also finished 3 more Monoliths but didn't photograph them, which basically makes my 3k complete. I still plan to put together some exotic units, Flayed ones, Wraiths & Destroyers but my ToEG army is finished.

Will get an army shot during my first game with them tonight, but the lighting in my local club is terrible for photos... we'll see how they come out.

Thanks but you might need to put a hold on the congrats, just did some sums to see what I was taking tonight, turns out I'm about 340 pts short if I take absolutely everything. ??? Might need to deploy the Otter signal... Or the Scream Signal... or the Exodus Wars signal... Decisions decisions ;D :D

Think I'll proxy some destroyers tonight with my Marine bikes...

EDIT: Oh wait I was right, sitting pretty at 2960pts forgot to add in the Obelisks Armoured phalanx.

Edit2: I have no idea if this is competitive, I've yet to try it out. But for the curious...

Tomb Complex
C'Tan
Warrior Phalanx, 2 Tomb Spyders
Warrior Phalanx, 2 Tomb Spyders, 2 Immortals
Warrior Phalanx, 2 Tomb Spyders, 2 Immortals
Armoured Phalanx
Monolith Maniple
Monolith Maniple, 1 Extra Monolith
Monolith Phalanx
Pylon
Pylon

Feel free to tear it to shreds, I'd appreciate the input.

Send the Exodus Signal, more Immortals is the key

Thanks Largo, that does indeed seem to fill a whole and cover something I'd overlooked.

Well I got some cool stuff in the mail:

And I took some photos in our woefully underlit club.

I'd go for Pariahs over Immortals. Given that you'll be assaulting with your Phalanxes, that Inspiring can make all the difference between winning and losing an assault.
