It's free hand, I'm actually considering going back and add a little white to half of the skull and circle to resemble the Adeptus skull properly.

How far up in Sweden you live? I talked to a mate about going to the next GothCon just for kicks...

I live in Stockholm, so it is not that close, I am afraid. However, I consider attending a few gaming events next year. GothCon is one of them.

@Fredmans: We've been talking a couple of the guys from the gaming club about going to gothcon. Two of us to play Epic, the third just to check out the scene, so we're likely to fill up the car to go on a roadtrip

There's also a nice laksebrug somewhere between Göteborg and Ängelholm I'd like to visit. We'll have to see about that though, roadtrip in the Swedish Winter is not always a good idea...

In the meanwhile, I've tried to take better pics of the robots (and given then an extra highlight)

They turned out really red in the pics. Colours are more muted in flesh. Thanks to Vaaish for inspiration with the details, I might go back and redo the numerals, but for now I'll just try a different approach on 'em for October's Machs.

Cheers Rastamann, I enjoyed your ork thread! Space Marines is not my cup of tea, but your Ultra Marine blue looks deep blue like old school

The red is real easy. VGC Sanginous Red I think it's called (similar to blood red) with a light wash of badab and devlan, highlight with same red and diluted drybrush with bleached bone. I paint on several thin layers rather than 1-2 coats, building a stronger tone. It's done with thinned down red and a small/medium gw drybrush so it's a fairly quick tecnique.

Oh my, Apoc started a new comp, and I haven't finished 2011 yet. Don't know how many points worth I have or need to complete or what list is current and how many points theser are, but here's the latest batch, just finished earlier today. 20 skits incl 1 techpriest and 1 commander type techpriest and 4 gorgons:
