it's pretty simple, I use a basecoat of P3 carnal pink (a couple of layers is required, man I love the P3 range!) then I give it a wash with an old pot of GW plasma red ink, I then go back and edge the areas with carnal pink again

Fun fact: back in the 90's GW inks were just called 'Red ink, blue ink' etc.... they had an unofficial competition in the stores to name the inks, as I was one of the games night regulars back then, I suggested plasma red, which made it through and I was rewarded with the first new pot of plasma red ink that my store recieved! I think it may have been because my suggestion was one of the few that was serious, I recall two other suggestions being 'Sarah Green' and 'Protestant Orange'

Privateer press apparently developed by some bloke called Mike McVey.... they're just great, liquid pigment, slow drying for blending and such, you also get loads in the pot, can't recommend them enough

Odd, I know a girl called Sarah Green.

Have you had a chance to compare P3 paints to vallejo ones? I have a P3 metal, which seems good, but I haven't picked up P3 because all the ones I can find are in those paint packs that always have a few in them that I don't want.

Really like your scheme mate, thinking ill use something similar for my children but with a less pastel pink. Something closer to the pre-heresy purple and black with silver highlights.

As always this is subject to change though

Thanks! Unfortunately this project has currently stalled..... I have done a few more rhinos but need to get my arse in gear and get them worked on now I've cleared a chunk of imperial fists, I will attempt to resurrect this plog in the near future!
