Things are currently drying and it's late at night here, so too dark to take decent pictures, but, I can now play Tau at 4000 points... fully painted! Perhaps not the best mix of formations, but certainly playable; I'm going to aim for 5000 points... but do I take an easy path completing the Manta, ...

Who are the cultist following? That could influence the colour choices.

Pale blue for Tzeentch, pale green for Nurgle, bone for Slaanesh, and heck, red for Khorne!

Then use watered down inks or washes to tint them... I'll keep all this in mind once I get back to my Lost and the Damned.

Continuing on... This is probably the first time I've just sat down and focused on getting things done... I'm almost at 3000 points! I had a bunch of stuff just sitting around primed and/or base-coated just collecting dust as it were and I'm finding it really satisfying to actually have things that ...

Yep, those are Kraytonian Guard models from their Command unit... the squared off rifles are perfect for Tau!

More power painting! Don't really have a story for these guys, yet, but I've been calling them the "Grey Ghosts"; another alternate paint scheme to break up the monotony of the urban camo. I might add a Pathfinder Support Group to the mix once I get the models for them. "The Grey Ghos...

I really like your left camo pattern on the previous post. Thanks! I really like it too... but those Devilfish really disappear into my urban ruins terrain! *laugh* I decided to forego painting the warning stripes; looking at a bunch of Tau picture references shows the intakes painted in whatever t...

One formation done... just waiting for the vanish to dry! "The Red Devils" - 375 points Tau Armoured Cadre 200 4 Hammerheads (Rail) 25 1 Hammerhead (Rail) 50 1 Skyray 100 Some kind of glitch caused a number mix up in the maintenance drones inventory system and when this tank cadre was bein...

I need an answer to a question: are Tau Fire Warriors concerned about safety? I'm debated whether to but a yellow "WARNING: AIR INTAKE" stripe on the big engines of the Tau tanks or if I should just leave it in the normal camo. Here's an example of with and without. (That's a Pathfinder De...

I really wanted a Manta in my army; I mean, it's the biggest EPIC Tau model out there! I never wound up getting one while Forge World was making them, just couldn't justify the cost. So, I'd patrol eBay for them, and, occasionally, they'd come up... and go way over my budget. One time, I put in a &q...

Is this better for seeing the three styles I'm doing the models in?

Love the Tau models. Hard to see the paint, think the lightning is very off on your fotos?

Yeah, these were just some quick snaps, I'll take some better shots and post them soon.

Long time, no post. But EPIC is not gone or forgotten from my life... and neither is TacComm... so here I am again! My life has been super-busy, with two active kids, moving to a new country, and all kinds of other stuff. Fortunately, I've moved to a place where there's a lot more opportunity to pla...

From a potentially overpowered point of view is like to try this 3k list: I like how this list has no Artillery or Terminators, the common targets of complaints of "cheese!" Think you can take it for a spin, Rug ? I'm going to see how, on paper, it stack up to a similar build using Steel ...
