Heavy Support - yeah, it's a tricky one. I quite like 4+/5+ as it's twin-linking to represent four of the five weapons. I just wasn't sure if it was intended or a typo. My only concern is that in many common situations it makes them twice as good at shooting, so the points cost might need to be care...

Looks like a solid start. Some bits I spotted: ⋅ Heavy Support Squads have 2 x AP4+/AT5+ for their Missile Launchers, instead of the usual 2 x AP5+/AT6+. I don't know if this is an intentional change. ⋅ Quad Lascannon mounts aren't consistent. On the Spartan they have no arc and ...

Yeah, increased contrast compared to larger scales is vital!

I mostly use Contrast paints over white undercoat, sometimes with a bit of further shading added.

Personally I don't think there's an issue with events using different editions. If it's at a venue like Firestorm it's going to be bringing in new players on top of the comparatively small number of people who attend tournaments. My concern with ID would be that it's extremely detailed when you get ...

That was GW’s approach to how lists were designed for EA. *shrug*

It’s not something that was chosen afterwards by the fans.

Bear in mind that the original design philosophy for Epic Armageddon army lists is that there aren’t supposed to be any ‘generic’ lists at all, and that each list represents a specific force in a specific campaign. So instead of a generic Imperial Guard list, there’s the Steel Legion list that cover...

Funny that you should mention Space Marines being too broad. I honestly feel it's the other way around - the lists are too restrictive. I sorely miss the combined arms approach from Titan Legions.

Do you mean in terms of mixing Marines and Guard etc?

It is a single set of rules, apart from EpicAU’s variant. In terms of lists, the big problem is that it’s never going to be possible to get a consensus for any given faction across all the players. Partly because there are so many variants of 40k. Take Marines as an example. Do you stick rigidly to ...

The direct link is https://earagnarok.github.io/list-view/?content=intro As far as I know it's a lot of the Swedish EA community. For community fragmentation, I can see both sides. On the one hand it's good to have more effort on NetEA lists, on the other hand the approval process effectively exclud...

The previous version caused an extra hackdown kill if you won a close combat, or BM if you lost, which was really hard to price. It's been a while since I played EA and I actually thought that was still in the list instead of the new version that increases the Lesser Daemon pool each time the detach...

That's relatively high for Death Guard! Don't forget that you get an extra activation from the zombies that the Plague Ship barrage leaves behind. As you've got four detachments with Daemonic Pact/Nurgle's Rot, I recommend adding some more Plaguebearers as three is very low. Unlike the other Chaos l...

A Retinue will definitely work well as a blitz guard (and can even garrison off it to spread out a lot), but even there it's useful to have some ranged capability to plink BMs onto attackers. The termies etc. will be good at hunting down isolated stuff, mainly by using the Plague Zombies to keep the...

Personally, I'd struggle with the list due to the lack of transports and ranged capability. In particular the two Retinues only have small arms, which won't combine well with them being on foot and therefore easy to avoid/hard to assault with. A canny opponent will place their two objectives at the ...

There is a collection of suggested Capitol Imperialis profiles here: https://www.tacticalwargames.net/taccmd/viewtopic.php?f=86&t=20434 Personally, I would suggest bumping the Speed up from 10 cm to 15 cm, to match the increase in infantry speeds across editions as it used to move at the same sp...
