The unthinkable happened. I finished an army. It's small - tiny, at Net EA 2000 points, based on the Red Corsairs. It's probably got half a dozen mistakes in composition. But it's done. I used up by quota of time scraping the bottom of the PVA barrel (literally), so pics will come next weekend. But ...

CS, did you see the Kickstarter no on? Opens up the desert front, but there are some unusual details such as marines which look mre like Pacific front types than desert. The KS is also more of a release of expansions in the form of a Kickstarter, rather than a regular KS. Still, I have to admit I wa...

They certainly have! Those sprues were in the Silent Death (I think it was second edition) starter box. Silent Death was a miniatures space battle game by Iron Crown Enterprises (ICE), published somewhere in the nineties. My gaming group used to play it a lot, even though the rules were a bit clunk...

Aah, those good old Silent Death models - brings back memories. Great find, thanks!
The Talon (third row from the top) would indeed make for a great (Dark) Eldar fighter.

Interesting - they have a background and a past, then?

After asking about flying base sources, Blip had pointed me in the direction of e4m, and whilst digging for the requisite bases I noticed that they have a sprue of spaceships which can serve as small flyers for Epic scale. They are made of almost-flexible plastic, have a mould line which is prominen...

The em4 order came through at an impressive speed, and I got 75 flying bases (!), ten round plastic bases and 30 Epic scale (if on the small side) flyers + delivery all for £20. Not bad at all!

Surprisingly (for those of you who know my attention span) this is still in progress - had a bit of work overload, hence the lack of pics, but now my planned army includes the 4 knights, 2 warhounds and 18 disc riders (serving as bikes); with termies and noise marines in progress - 2000 points are 1...

I seem to have used up my stock of clear, round-based flying bases and transparent stems, and one of my Silver Towers, 5 Doomwings and several potential conversions need these. Would anyone be so kind as to direct me towards a supplier please? I'd also like to get some hexagonal clear bases. Thanks ...
