At 3k this change just makes the list selection almost as boring as steel legion. Unlikely to result in anymore aspect warriors being used in a competetive setting (2 in 3k). |

Is double retain alpha strike really the issue? Never heard anyone complain about it.
And the change affects much more than alpha strike, it seriously negates thir play style and it impacts all eldar lists not just BT. Eldar are fine as they are. |

I think people on both sides of the fence are pretty unlikley to change their view in repsonse to any of this. Someone should just create a new BTEldar list for Aus tournaments. Do what works for you as someone once or twice said. |

Well back on topic, the epic UK site has amassed quite a lot of game data on the big 4, hundreds of tournament games. Whats noticeable is that BTEldar are well ahead of the 4. If you take overall win% minus loss% you get Cx Marines -5% Gh Orks -13% SL Guard -10% BT Eldar +8% The marines, orks and SL... |

I thought that, if the list doesn't say otherwise, generally you can do what you like. So separate unit or the same.

Given that the problem is mainly Eldar - makes sense for Aus tournaments to simply require that their own preferred AU eldar list is used. It's not much different from e.g. how we ban the Avatar in minigeddon games. Trick is agreeing how to change them. EUK is a mystery to those outside but the adva... |

It's like if they invented the alaitoc list first and then came up with the Biel Tan later everyone would be like woah there you're only giving up pathfinders and getting voidserpents +stuff. Noone will ever use alaitoc again. Of course they do though all the time. |

I wish the xfire BM on WE was written in a faq as it tends to benefit one side or the other so isn't really good for 5 min warm up. |

Two other areas where WE count as just one unit because it doesn't specifically say otherwise are: 1. In the Tournament scenario formations where half or more of the units (rounding up) are scouts can garrison. So a mingeddon steel legion formation of 2 shadowswords and 2 snipers is able to garrison... |

Again, I may be missing something but what part of this isn't covered by 3.3.1? 3.3.1 just tells you e.g. that a baneblade can be contacted by a maximum of 6 units. So if a DC 8 WE "counts as worth 8 units" can it contact a baneblade? That isn't covered in 3.3.1. But it is covered elsewhe... |
