Knights are coming to my 6/8mm hobby thread, but it’s time I started working on a battle board of my own. First up, a 4x4’ modular table from Uncertain Scenery. I wanted an urban board for AT18 & Epic, and Craig Birks’ version of the Dropzone Commander tiles are 2” deep with cutouts for sunken c... |

I hassle a bit with your logic of 2 drops as you only have one retain. A good player will use that against you. First by screening vitals secondly by making your second drop useless. That said I love dropping fearless dreads because it is so much fun. But in a tournament without demons it is a bit ... |

Generally, IW is lacking massively by not having access to demons and Deathwheels. The core formations are only mediocre at least, the assault unlock rate is really bad (and the good stuff you need is all there) and the ranged support artillery is overpriced. The theme is really nice, but it should... |

Minor update, and something not Chaos for a change. I managed to round out the arsenal for my Warlord(s): And had a relatively light afternoon, so I took a shot at testing a potential paint scheme for Legio For... |

And lo, Kingslayer walks! https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48648252921_e996796c0f_b.jpg OK, I thought the other Warlord was a bear to paint; give me Suturvora's black panels and flames any day. Still, the checkers and camo have been fun to paint, and I've gotten a lot better at shading while work... |

I hate to be a doomsayer, but I believe GW will finally kill off classic Epic(s) over the next few years with these shiny new toys. I’d still say that’s debatable. GW is slowly working through their three-year-old pledge to reboot most of the Specialist Games, and while AT & IA we’re both on th... |

Mine are done. Maybe one weekend we can get a game in I know next weekend is Labor Day, but I could look into an afternoon at Six Feet Under; could bring 6mm or 8mm stuff, easily. September I have a weekend trip 9/6-9/8, and you’ve got Worlds, but other than that, should hopefully be wide open. And... |

What's the fine grain you used for basing there? Basing sand is a 4:1 blend of War World Scenics’ fine grain and coarse grain sand. Closest I could come to reproducing the ancient pot of GW’s basing sand I’d been using for my Iron Warriors & Legio Suturvora. Found them on eBay first, then found... |

Ok, here we go, finished up battle report #6 (see below), so racking & stacking everything we have for Iron Warriors v3.1: Gaming On The Counterweight Continent: (placeholders until I can locate these in the battle report subforum) http://pfe100.blogspot.com/2016/05/iron-warriors-netea-v31-and-s... |

Work took me back up to CT last week, so I took advantage of that to get a game of Epic: Armageddon in with a couple of the guys up north. Rob and I got a 3000 point game in around mouthfuls of barbecue. We probably *should* have gone to round four, but due to time we called it at the end of 3 and t... |

Malinax Armor: Base Layer: Zandri Dust Layer: Baneblade Brown Pin Wash: Nuln Oil (armor nooks & crannies) Edge Highlight: Flayed One Flesh It’s a little darker than the Forgeworld scheme, but I like the “Soviet conscript uniform” feel it gives them (appropriate, too) Malinax Armor Trim: Base Lay... |

Putzing around with them this morning. So far they’re still shinier than I want (a couple more thin hits with micro sol needed?), but surprisingly enough, tiny stuff like this is pretty easy to maneuver into position. House Malinax has its scorpions, squadron markings, and the Xana II Forgeworld bad... |

So um, House Malinax has been happening, which gets me up to 1500 points of Adeptus Titanicus. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190809/79058f16d2000bef820c14519e146f10.jpg Decals to follow tonight if I’m up for it, otherwise I ought to have at least one conference call at work tomorrow that I can ... |

It could certainly be an interesting fight! The Reavers might have the upper hand, depending upon how you equip them. Three Reavers in a Corsair Maniple have a lot of maneuverability, and the Warlord will be reliant on the Warhounds to strip shields, and the Warhounds will probably want to squadron ... |
