So do you guys play this terrain shadow effect or not? Do you really try and get down to the level of the model and try and figure out what 6mm figures can see? That seems pretty crazy to me. Call me crazy then :spin . Of course, that is EXACTLY what is written in the rules as I quoted above. It se...

PLEASE READ THIS ENTIRE POST - you may learn something new :) Just for clarity on the terrain situation, here is what the rules say about it (you know, the rule book that we are all supposed to use to play Epic Armageddon...) : Design Concept: Terrain Conventions It is possible to have all kinds of...

I'm in favour of dropping the Spotter rule completely and removing the indirect fire option of the Doomsday Cannons. If Squats want artillery, they should take Goliaths and not get it for free on some of the best WE's in the game. Matt made a lot of very good points and I'll just add that his record...

Second clarification is that Australia does not use some weird line of sight rules. The Cancon tournament used the vanilla line of sight rules out of the main rule book (something that we shorthand refer to as TLOS althought it isn't). A -1 save is applied liberally and you cannot shoot more than 1...

What a surprise... A Squat list is tailored for a powerhouse build. Does EXTREMELY well. Cries of a less than competitive meta, LOS rules and non EpicUK lists are to blame... :spin ;) I really hope the EpicUK Squats are in the hands of experienced, power gamers or I'm afraid we'll see more themed, f...

Flying 6000km's to play 6 games of Epic is enough thanks.
The Europeans can keep the European Championships to themselves! ;)

As to the tournament results... I'll wait and see what others think (as most know my opinions on this top tier list).

The description in its origional entry states that it can fire all around due to it hovering and basically spinning around in a circle. A Shadowsword can spin/swivel on the spot and turns of Epic are roughly 15mins each. If a Shadowsword can be restricted to fixed forward (something I have no probl...

True but if it is discovered that a tweak is needed, I'd still say the ability to train 6 Battlecannons on a single target would be the key area rather than price. Taking in to account it's actual survivability (similar to superheavy tank with pros and cons) to me it looks more like it is over-arme...

It's worth mentioning that EpicUK scouts can stop a aerial assault by preventing a plane from landing in multiple Zones of Control.
This is played differently in many/most other parts of the world and could have an impact on this discussion.

Instead I suggest the area to tweak is the damage output; Overlord Battlecannons should be 'fixed' left and right, so they can't fire 6 at a single target to the direct front or rear. This would better match the rules to the model, and it would still have higher damage output against all targets at...

Apologies, massive thread hijack It also seems that some players don't fully understand the Support Craft rule. A Support Craft is not always visible from any part of the board (as planes are). Support Craft still follow the rules for Skimmers so if a Support Craft is nearer to any intervening terr...

That's with sustaining! In the open Infantry would be on 3's and vehicles on 4s, but in cover it's 4's and 5s. I find it pretty unusual to get infantry out of cover mind you, their more likely haunt being a handy ruin or building. And very rare to find vehicles in cover at all (walker aside of cour...
