I quite like that knight version, though I definitely think they should be independent rather than embedded (I see them as being a bit like an extreme Crisis team - there's three of them in the 'team', but they're jumping from hotspot to hotspot across the whole battlefield). There is also he burstc... |

I'd love to see some size comparisons between the OTC infantry and their Mechs? |

I like em too - the totem pole might be odd though...If the stand is mobile, people would wonder how they are carrying it around - or should it be a "coolness over reality" thing? It's a good point, though with 6mm games like Epic and the like I imagine that there's a lot of behind the sc... |

For the Avian mercs - a master of the kennels with a hound in a sitting position (rather than a running position, like the packmaster unit presumably is) would be a nice touch for the chef's retinue. Kind of emphasise that this is a unit that's probably sitting back and commanding the force rather t... |

It's amazing the difference the pose makes, makes the thickness of the belly and legs a lot less pronounced. Any chance of having one in a crouched down "tracking" pose - as if he's examining or pointing to something on the ground, trying to pick up it's trail? Struggling to find a picture... |

Allies are still in there, there's a few pictures of the inside pages in the latest WD that show that the Kroot and Vespid are still in there. However since they didn't get any new models this time around the focus as been on the Tau aspect of the Tau Empire. Allies codex is apparently just wishful ... |

Facebook is a genius idea when it comes to marketing. Love it or hate it, it'll dramatically increase sales. Not entirely true, it's certainly a useful tool but you'll lose a lot of flexibility. It's great when you can meet demand and the goals you've set, but should some setback arise or should yo... |

That said, I've had a couple of games against Orks with very few vehicles and actually been quite grateful for the long ranged AP This. When you have to deal with horde armies they're very handy. They are excellent at reducing infantry at range - something the Tau Railheads don't always do well (5+... |

On the other hand, they are one of the better represented units as far as capturing the feel of the vehicle in 40K goes... New Tau codex is apparently out in a couple of months (April/May-ish depending on whether you count pre-orders) so I think the best bet is to wait and see if it gets up'ed to 4 ... |

Slightly different from having a set number of pre-orders, as you wouldn't have the various warehousing and stocking issues (I'm guessing FW don't cast on demand) that you'd encounter when it's just the initial design stages that are free, meaning that they'd still cost you money over time. Number's... |

Might be worth seeing if we could get a list for a limited run - if they know they're going to sell at least 50 sets of firewarriors/kroot/crisis suits or what have you they might decide that they can save themselves a bit of work and just update the epic pages. It was Chaos and Evil who was trying ... |

Honestly I think the most likely thing is either for the Epic to disappear entirely and be replaced by a broadly similar Apocalypse games and a slightly tweaked campaign, or for things to remain pretty much as they are (especially if they have the updated Tau Epic and Gothic lists - as both of those... |

FW have announced on their facebook that they're looking at doing a second edition of the Taros campaign. If they're not replacing the Epic rules with something else (and unlike the Imperial Guard there's not that many extra units at present - just the Remoras and Hazard suits, and potentially a new... |

We're aiming to finish about 6pm. Arriving from 9.30am, first game starting by 10.00am. Ah well, probably could have made it but got a friend's leaving do on the day that's now been rescheduled a little earlier. You Cambridge guys have a regular time you meet up for games, or does it tend to just b... |
